This could be a problem. Now I'm afraid to report anyone considering they may be highly intelligent bots.
Also, we can't nuke trial accounts. Why can't we bring them up to work with the report system the way normal accounts do? I always thought trial accounts were the same as normal accounts anyway, except when time runs out the characters/areas are locked. It should not have any affect on the actual type of account or what aspects of the code affect it.

What surprises me is there are none in Lion's Arch.
Great Temple of Balthazar International is a hotbed for bot-spammers.
Every single time I've entered that zone this week I've gotten whisper-spammed by gold-sellers, not to mention the usual gold-selling spam in Local. I reported a few spammers in the past, but they just seem to multiply.
In response to the OP's issue, I haven't had that happen to me when I've used the /report feature. The last time I've used it must have been a couple weeks ago, so maybe it's a new problem.

when i first started playing gw i didn't know anyone except my boyfriend so went into ascalon city and there was a group of people standing around chatting in local i said hi and joined the convo anyway i made some friends and added them to my friends list
the next evening i tried to log in to find i had been banned for 71 hours for spamming! i email anet and ask whats going on and i get a message back saying something about excessive use of the all chat channel i was gobsmacked
after my 71 hour ban was up i pm the people i was talking to to find they had been banned too
so what lots of people reported us for having a convo in the all chat channel?
i just don't get how anet deal with these reports
