Sword is a 3 way toss-up. I tend to favor Turai's though:

Axe: Stygian reaver, Dual gothic axe
Spear: Voltaic spear, Wintergreen spear, Tormented Spear
Staff: Dragonstaff, Outcast staff

Offhand: Paper fan, Fan
Shield: Amethyst aegis, Magmas shield, tormented shield and Bladed shield
Hammer: Mursaat hammer, Swamp Club

Spear: Serrated Spear. (far cooler than overrated Voltaic)

Staff: Charr, Platium, Portal.
Wand: Wayward.

Despite the fact I don't have a Paragon, I really like the Serrated Spear.

I know it's been done before. Honestly there should be an official GWGuru be-all-end-all poll thread about this (and armor too) stickied, maybe not in Riverside, but somewhere.
