Yeah, pretty much. I then found the reason I wanted to return and did. Repeat ad infintum, since GW PvE is a limited style game revolving largely around skins. There's only so much development of a character you can accomplish in that setting. It becomes more about the people you are playing with in your guild at some point, and your friends in game, than much of anything else.
I love the game dearly, made many friends, have been in two great guilds and spent a great deal of time with the people in them. For me I guess it always came down to that eventually. When I wasnt in a guild or they werent online, I pugged and had great experiences and some of my best times in game (yeah, really).
Set a goal. For a while it was income, so I made millions, spent millions, made millions more. It then became titles. Both activities are a sort of farming imho, so just set a goal and work towards it, and enjoy the people you are playing with, or find some with whom you do.
I miss it, but, alas, my PC is no more, so I am done. :P I'm a mac person - not buying a new PC just to game on.
Anyway, to the OP - take a break. You'll find the reason you want to come back. Only way I havent come back from a "retirement" is this time, where I have a technical reason I cannot.
