Frankly, i find it near impossible to beat this. (I didn't say impossible, before people say otherwise, i said near) I stand by the gate and let the snowman take the fight, the problem is the snowman get outnumbered by the grentches and die, and while they do respawn slowly they still are outnumbered and just die again....

Everything else? The "value" on everything else just plummeted sharply. If you were waiting til now to go sell a bunch of golds or other "rare" items that arent mini polar bears, keep waiting or go sell them to the merchants.....otherwise you will only be dissapointed by the lack of interest your "non-mini polar bear" items generate. (example: "WTS unded. mini bone dragon 100K+ blah blah"....response: "What its not a mini-polar bear? Weak sauce, 2K final offer"

Just imagine.. all these fanatics spending last minutes of Wintersday by making some frantic farming... hoping for a bear-drop... cutting their wrists when the event ends and no bear appears... spending hundreds of $ on ebay to buy one...
and their bear minis, with all other pandas and onis... and kanaxais... will be worth 0g within a year, when GW2 show up.

even if there may be lag issues during special events, giving a mini as a reward for pvp or pve achievements is much more valuable than fixing a 0.0000000000001% drop rate on a chest anyone can open
hoh chest and coffer of whispers ARE chests ANYONE can farm, just like this wintersday chest (and probably zaichen chest)
make a snowball fight ladder and give one to all top 1000 accounts give one mini polar bear for any xx consecutive wins, make it a reward for a real hard solo quest, trade it for 1K candy cane shards... or anything, I'm sick of gambling in gw
