HoM and GW2: What do you want?

So you've spent hours of time getting all those titles, minipets, and armor sets, and you've placed them in the HoM. GW2 rolls around, and you go to collect your rewards.

What do you expect?

For me, I want any titles and any minipets I've dedicated to the HoM to be up for grabs by my characters. I don't want a replacement, not a system like, "Everyone that put in any minipet will get <new pet>." I'd much more prefer to just see what I earned for myself and what pets were my own appear as they were in GW2.

I can't say the same for armors, weapons, and other items like that, because I don't know how many of those they can transfer piece for piece onto GW2 without it just looking like most of the GW2 armor came from GW.

If there's one thing I really want, that there is no binding names from GW1 to GW2. The fact that your char names in GW1 are reserved is good, but... I don't want to be forced to use my GW1 char names in GW2.

And I also want it so that the GW2 HoM goodies are availiable to all of your characters, not linked between characters. Basically all of your achievements are pooled and you can take them out on different characters as you need it... This idea is for those who concentrate titles/minis on one main character, although they have 7-8 alts.

I expect that we'll get armor/weaponskins that you can't unlock in gw2, only via HoM.

I don't care what i'll get in GW2, i just want to play the game when it's out.
I also don't want my char names reserved, i wanna make new ones.

Since I don't have GWEN - I hope the rewards are insanely trivial.
The less - the better!

From what little has been said about HoM affecting GW2, I gather that most of what we put into it will mean either:

A. Diddly Squat. Something different and new, but will be soon cast aside.

B. Shiny. Like Squishy mentioned, armor skins and weapon skins that only HoM people can get. However, look back to A. They may help you stand out when you start GW2, but in the end not as desirable as other items/skins that will be accessible in GW2.

Personally, I hope if we get a Kurzick/Luxon/Sunspear/Druid/Ancient/Primeval/Norn/Asura/Ebon Vanguard armor in our HoM, no matter what race or class we play, it offers whatever benefit.
Example: I enter my Dervish Norn armor into HoM. When Gw2 comes around, I decide to play a Ranger, I hope that they recognize that I worked for the Norn and can get said Norn benefit of armor entered (however that may be done), instead of Dervish class players only benefit.

Titles and Minipets-not sure how they will benefit us in GW2.

Heroes-I am guessing your future char as an opportunity to have access to (as GW2 knowledge gives us) a sidekick(NPC not the human sidekick buff that is being talked about) that is an ancestor of said hero. However, that leaves us with still ALOT of heroes to choose from to take on as a sidekick.

I want HoM to give absolutely nothing to GW2.

Rewarding grinding for titles is lame.

I will laugh my ass off if titles award titles.

Protector of Cantha awards Historic Protector of Cantha title.

Would be ironic, people grind their ass off for a worthless title, that will reward them later, but they are rewarded with another useless title.

Here is what I expect, though I'd be happy if I was wrong.

Mini-pets = a title that is based upon number of pets you dedicated.

Heros = a title based upon number of heros with new armor.

Armor = a title based upon number of sets of elite armor.

Weapons = a title based upon number of destroyer weapon + bonus weapon = to current bonus weapons from pre-sales and game of the year edditions.

Titles = you guessed it, a title based upon number of maxed titles in KOBD tract or total number of titles in HoM.

All in all I don't really expect it to be any real great big thing that will make those that start with GW2 feel any need to go out and purchase GW to unlock/aquire.

I expect to "unlock" titles and other "rewards"

Unlock does not mean that it is available right away.

I really do not see the gaining of any items possible as A-net has stated that these rewards will give NO in game advantage of any kind.

I am thinking that this will be like the "ghostly" Jedi in SWG. You can look different as if to say,"I was there" but there is no playability difference other than E-peen.

That would be the salt in the wound now wouldn't it?
I doubt titles, mini pets, heros, armor, weapons will mean NOTHING, but I am not hyping myself to believe that the titles will mean I am superior over another or give me something cooler/better.

Side note: Do we even know which titles/heroes/armor types/mini pets might mean MORE than others? Of course not.
There are titles in which almost everyone has, and some titles that very few have. Some of the higher level(aka harder to max) titles might have some better reward, but then, since there is still quite a bit of time to work on them to GW2, the higher end may not be so unreachable to many players if they start or continue working on them now.

I agree with what's been said. When GW2 comes out I want to be able to have all my titles and mini pets available, and I want to be able to wear all my armors (at least for the primary profession, I'm not sure how that's gonna work). And also, I don't want to have to use the same name. Since this is supposedly taking place 100 or so years in the future I don't think we should have to.

Don't give a damn, I am just looking forward to a fresh new game to satiate me for 3+ years like the current GW has.

The only thing I care slightly about is if I could keep my name, that would be cool, but far from immediate.

No....

Salt in the wound is me playing for 7,000 hours, making 10 characters, all who have finished every game, and spending most of my time helping people. What do I get for it? Nothing, because I didn't spend 95% of my time in Guild Wars grinding. That is salt in the wound.

I'm trying to focus on one aspect: What people are expecting when they open up their stuff transferred via HoM in GW2. The thread you provided covers everything, and from a quick glance, seems to talk mostly about things in GW rather than GW2.

Problem I have with that is that I have only three minipets dedicated to the HoM, and one of them is a Rollerbeetle. I'd be pissed to learn that all the recognition I get for having a 1-of-100 minipet would be a title for having three minipets in general.

I think you mentioned an armor-like one too that I'm not too crazy about, just because of the major cost difference between FoW armor and anything else.

I sooo wish there was title for having developed character of each primary...

My Guess is that it will be Titles.

Maybe some weapon skins but that's it...

As far as armor goes, I don't want to be able to wear the armor that I'm putting in the HOM. There should be cooler, newer armor in a new game, right?

problem with this whole "your decendants get special stuff" thing, is that if these benefits are available from the beginning, then rather than it being a new game with a fresh start, it will just be another game with idiots laughing at the people who didnt grind for 10 months to get a silly title. its baisically giving the grinders another thing to think theyre better than us for, and right off the bat too!

on topic, im hoping that since ive got about 18 minipets in my HoM right now, i hope that its not some stupid "you get a pecial minipet if youve put more than 1 minipet in your HoM" -.-

for armor, i got my main the dwarven armor (silly me) and the dragon gloves because i thought they looked best on him. now, i have to go and spend ANOTHER 40k to get something for my character to use in GW2. does not want. hopefully we do not get some exact copy of the old armor in GW2, i want new armor skins.

for titles, as said before, im not a grinder, and the only things i have there are the tyrian and canthan protectors (soon to add the nightfall one)

for heroes and pets, hopefully we will get either a minipet of the hero we got the armor for, or a hero that is a decsendant of that hero. hopefully with special skills of some kind, for example, transforming into a bear for Jora's decendant.
