Another bad effect of bmp marketing

Me and two other friend needs 2 slot for to have all 10 pg (we have only 8 slot).
We miss the bonus mission pack but now we don't know if buy or not in case will be online another promotion like that

then why u didnt buy the slots when the bmp was running?
credit card. debit card. parents' credit card. gift card. prepaid web cards... cmon no excuses

i believe Gaile said there will be some information on the BMP after the holidays in one of her recent chats. May want to hold off for awhile.

I really don't see Anet passing up a chance to make more money...so it will probably be offered for sale or in another promotion

You need slots. So buy them.

If theres any sort of hesitation to not buy it, its certainly not related to the BMP but rather your indecisiveness and lax of commitment to make some sort of decision.

If they make the bmp available to everyone, I want the boxes that I gave up to get the bmp.

Unless they release another expansion or campaign to conincide with another BMP, its not gonna happen.

Ok so let me get this straight.

- You needed 2 character slots when the BMP was out, but you didn't have enough money to buy them.

- But now that you have the money to buy them, you expect Anet to give you another promotion?

Even if you had money back when the BMP offer was active you still wouldn't have received it because you needed to spend $29 or more.

Hmm.. Just got ahead and buy the skill slots and get it over with. Doubt Anet will do anything special since there wont be anything between now and GW2.

I don't think it should be available anymore really. Why should some people have 100k+20e kuunavangs for buying into promotional crap, and others get their stuff redistributed after a couple months?

This has been discussed endless times and the bottom line? You can't compare things like mini pets or special auras to completely unique content like these missions. IMO, it was fairly obvious they were going to give alternative ways to obtain it. Gaile has more or less said there will be numerous times. And basically, it comes down to two argument, there are those that didn't bother getting it before, because they didn't expect it to be any good, and there are those that will feel cheated if they give another way to obtain the BMP because they don't want others to enjoy it.

Personally, I think they should give it out again, whether it's just a store purchase, or another promotion. The content is too good not to give to everyone, and the fact the major districts are cluttered with the guys connected to it leads me to beleive it will be made more widely available.

The only real reason against it is "no fair! it's mine!"
Yeah, you may have missed out on the box, but is that so important? especially compared to more ingame content that will expand the life of the game.

Yup. We missed it. And we would expect that due to us giving up the box, you gave up the bmp. The you have missed the box whining is the same about us saying you get the bmp. send me your box with manual and other goodies, and I will have no objections. If they go back on this and run this promotion again, it will hurt future promotions due to people waiting it out. "Oh, new bonus pack 2 eh? I will wait for others to play it to see if I should spend my money."

While I do beleive it will be offered for sale...i also believe that it will hurt ANET in the short run...possibly even the long term. They will piss off people who bought GWEN or other items from the Store to be able to recieve the BMP...where as they could have went out and bought GWEN at a cheaper price from a Game store and recieved boxes/cds/maps/whatever came in the package...

And this will send a note to all players that even tho Anet says it is exclusive and can only be obtained one way....(**psst...but if you wait long enough we will offer it for sale at a later date)...and then go back on thier word as a company it will show that they have little to no integrity..and that can/will cause some major issues down the road...because once you "lie" you are known as a liar...how many people will rush out to preorder GW2 to get some special promotion for preording...if they know that if they complain enough that Anet will offer it again. Not me...

I already covered that. The collectors editions gave you nothing except little dances or special weapon skins. Here we're talking about full fledged missions. Is missing out on a box really that important? If you wanted the box that badly, you could have just bought the game from a regular store.

And I imagine future mission packs to be handled the same way. Did anyone really think they were going to create this kind of content, and then NOT give alternate ways to obtain it?
