Hey guys, what profession you play as when it comes to the Snowball Arena (and how you take advantage of the profession, since there is a slot in the snowball skills that relates to your profession). for me, I play as ritualist, I just go to the enemy base, spawn Jack Frost, and spam snowball with hidden rock (avalanche in Dwayna's team is easier for me) and guys sending the presents in. Apparently, this IS camping, only to prevent the guy from getting the present to the avatar (downside is that the other team would eventually notice and take me out, thus ruining the camping).
Anyways, what character you mostly play for the snowball fights?
what character (prof.) when it comes to Snowball Arema

they all have their strengths, apart from ranger lol. i just think ranger is pretty pointless. oh and the avatars are pretty baed too.
mes can be good in support but its hard to find a good one. interrupting 2 hidden rocks is fun.
Necro is good if you know how to use it (anti-block, activate before death, use on foes snared in ice ect)
Ritualist i have never tried. it seems pretty bad ass with all the damage it pumps out but i dont really see it is nessassary, seeing as the aim of the game is to run relics.
Paragon is pretty bad, but an almost certain knockdown isnt total crap.
Sin is only really good for duelling others, as it lets you dodge the hidden rock at the start but it would still get pwned by a good mes. this seems like a 1v1 character to me, which like i said, i don't really think is needed in snowball fights.
cba to list all the classes.
my top 5 professions:
1) Warrior
2) Monk
3) Ele
4) Mesmer (a good one)
5) Necro (seeing as its hard to find good mesmers, this should probably take spot 4)

In order of desirability:
Warrior, Monk: the superior choices. Warriors become increasingly powerful the more of them you have on the team (assuming they know how to cooperate). The extra adrenaline from the shout often provides critical Megas. Monks are simply the best solo runners, requiring that the other team assign two players (minimum) just to stop the present from being advanced.
Rit: the damage dealer. Excellent space controller and brutal soloist if played right. The only character capable of easily taking a Monk runner down without assistance; Snow Down the Shirt combos brutally with Jack Frost, yielding an swift kill on the monk. Unfortunately, the rit runs presents VERY slowly, which becomes a liability in close games. A character whose effectiveness decreases as the match timer goes longer.
Mesmer, Ele: both possess useful class-specific skills. However, they simply do not quite compare to the power of the warrior's Let's Get 'Em, or to Ice Breaker. The interrupt is handy when running, but a Warrior will still get a KD off. (you interrupt Hidden Rock -> Let's Get 'Em -> Mega -> you lose present) The blind just doesn't last long enough, particularly if the other player is toting 40% duration reduction. Similarly, Icicles is nice damage, and it can often counterbalance being on Grenth somewhat, but the hex just doesn't last long enough to truly be useful (particularly against a Lieutenant's Insignia).
Necro: I have seen this played well; the self-teleport is handy at times. However, if your objective is to apply pressure, the Rit is both more versatile and more effective. Most necros do not know how to play this class at all; I'd recommend learning to play something more highly rated unless you've already mastered a class and are bored.
Ranger, Paragon, Dervish, Assassin: all epic failures. Don't even bother wasting your time trying to justify these choices. It can't be done. Choosing one of these classes sends a STRONG signal to good players that you fail.

This comes from the sin fanboy.
Shadow stepping makes you drop the present, meaning this skill has no potential in running use.
A mesmer running, can use his special skill to interrupt and Blind one foe, essentially stopping them for 10 seconds, unless they have yellow snow.
In which case its about 3-5 seconds they are stopped.
Warriors, have a running skill and way to pretty much insta charge, the mega snowball.
Anyways.
Don't use an assassin in snowball arena and your fine.

ensoriki im not a sin fanboy, and like i said sin isnt a good choice for snowball fights because it's not about fighting, its about running. i say the sin is good 1v1 cause it allows you to dodge the daze easily, even at point blank.
and yep, blind doesn't do anything to snowballs, seeing as they are spells.

But yeah, speed buff is win- Monk and Ele would have to come next.
