Invalid Name?

I just tried to make a new PvE female ele about 15 minutes ago, and for the name, i inputted: D R I G E R
Guild Wars gave me an error 31 message stating that this name (or parts of it ) contains characters not allowed in GW.
wtf?
then i tried: G A L U X
same error message.....
then i tried: G A L E O N
same friggin error message.

what are in these names that GW doesn't like?

That happened to me before when I tried to make a name with spaces. It may trigger the filter to believe that you're trying to spell out a censored name to get around the filter. Meh, I guess that doesn't make much sense but it's the best thing I can come up with.

Come up with real character names instead of just spaced out letters. There's plenty of fantasy/sci-fi/weird name generators out there. Give one of the many at Seventh Sanctum a try.

Meh at name generators. I think it's better to come up with something that suits your own personality, what ever kind of name that may be. (hopefully not inappropriate).

Either way, I don't know, could be a filter for another language (not likely), or what booooYA said.

I'm pretty sure the name filter doesn't like a lone "G," and that's why it's rejecting all those names. Pretty dumb, but there ya go.

yah i think it is the lone "g".
i tried several other names with single "g's" in them and none of them worked, popping up the same error message. thnx alot guys ^^

It can be, if you combine it with certain other 4 letter words.

this time of year in my country Santa has to say HA HA HA,
Becuase Ho Ho Ho is offensive to females... so who know hey G perhaps its offensive.

on topic, I remember trying to create the name I N G E R and that was also rejected, citing innapropriate.

I know a friend of mine has a spaced how name however, he used his own first name, put spaces and it worked perfectly. Hes also made a couple of variations also with spaces.

If you think its the "G" that is activiating the filter, it very well could be. My friend who has several spaced out names has none that contain the letter G

F can be offensive if you combine it with 3 other letters, C can be offensive if you combine it with 3 other letters, even J can be offensive if you combine it with 2 other letters, yet those letters alone aren't filtered.

On topic, I can't make a name with a single 'G' either. Pretty weird, but meh.

Lol. Has anyone else noticed one of the Charr bosses in Bjora Marches is named Tenagg Flametroller...Tenagg is GGAnet backwards....
