MASS lag spiking...server wide

So I was in AB and both myself and my team mates several times experienced the usual skill-freeze. But it didn't clear. After a few seconds, red-ping bubbles, half the AB disconnect and then reconnect.

So it keeps happening and we take notes of names. There was us in AB, someone experimenting in EotN for the first time on her account and another guy in CoF. We all get lag spikes at the same time, followed by some people DCing out.

Anyone know what gives?

Probably a 'net problem right outside Anet's servers.

Yea lots of people in different parts of the game getting lag spikes at the same time.

Anet went past their download limit for the month and now have reduced connection speeds.

probably just streaming wintersday content into the game hence the lag. I've encountered the same thing since last night

Got 10k ping earlier, no problems since.

I had a random lag spike...lasted about 5 seconds and I've been fine since.

I have random lag spike every 5 min or so, have to log off my survivor

Constant lag getting up to 10k ping, had multiple people disconnecting at the same time in FoW tonight.

Multiple people in the dungeon runs I PuGed tonight D/ced many times. I was included once or twice.

Yup, I was getting serious lag spikes (in the middle of the Kathandrax boss fight, no less), and I virtually never have lag problems with GW.

Lagtacular a couple times in AB today, skill freezes, but few D/C's.

Meh. I had a bit of lag while doing some Ebon Vanguard quests but nothing to bad.

Well I'm not too sure where the servers are located (it's probably listed on their site somewhere or guildwiki though) but it might have something to do with all those snow storms around the continent >.>

But yes, I experienced it too... it wasn't SUPER bad but was quite annoying.

i've been getting a couple lagspikes too...

GW is lagging madly for a couple guildies and I right now. Just reached 10k+ ping two times in not even 5 minutes.

The lag is getting worse. I just err7'd while awaiting a gvg match. So did two others. Whatever it is, they better have it fixed by tomorrow for the monthly.

Yea theres something going on because ive gotten at least 10 in the past 30 minutes. Makes farming and playing RA hard as shiot.

I hope they fix whatever it is quick....*thinks back to that SV killing GW thread and hopes thats not it*

Please don't have another earthquake again in Taiwan...
