What is Anet doing to us Farmer!!

Hello everyone,

This is a piece of mind regarding the updates of Dec.6 with the Zaishen Chest.

First of all I would like to say that finally Anet has giving us *those who don't often gvg/tournament* another way to spend our excess Balthazar factions; which is awesome.

HOWEVER, allowing in game most rare weps such as the Crystalline, Eternal Blade, etc to drop from the chest is unacceptable. I play the game personally for the fun of farming and making nice handsome wealth, and I presume that most high end wep farmer feels the same way. Having to spend hours after hours forming groups for elite mission and doing the mission itself, in hoping to gain that awesome wep we seek; only now for someone who bough a zaishen key for 4-5k getting that wep from the chest.

I've ignored many updates from Anet that has sets me off, (ie. introduction of hard mode which obsoleted the Collossal Scimitar, Nerf of the Searing Flame, Nerf of Seed of Life, Nerf of Healer's Boon, and so forth) but has continue to support their products. But one too many is enough!

So, what does this all means? for one, people who invested in high end wep will now lose half if not more than half of what they've paid for it, that also mean lost of hours spended on farming the golds to invest in that wep. farming has become once again useless because everything will become dirt price. Overall, GW farmer and the likes, will be experiencing once again another market crash.

I enjoy the game and all it has to offer, but most joy of the game comes from farming for myself at the least, and this is just too upsetting. I am officially putting a stand and will stop supporting Anet products.

And btw, why would you nerf pve skill such as seed of life and ursan strike??? its unfair to the ai monster? eh, good game!

I gave up trying to figure out Anet's reasoning, tbh.

There is basically no reason to farm any more. At this point, why even farm? We have pretty much all the content there is and ever will be, the game is virtually dead, GW1 has hit it's life cycle. Move on, either find new challenges or a new game.

Do you realise that the game does not progress by itself and each of us play it at different speed? It may be dead to you, but it's very far from dead to me ...

So, basically, you're selfish then? You want to spend lots of time farming for slim chances of obtaining rare-skinned weapons to sell for ridiculous amounts to players unwilling to do the same?
Besides, Andrew Patrick has stated that the Zaishen Chest contains new items not obtainable anywhere else. There's your new rare stuff.

Well i am going to try and farm Balthzar Faction. Something different for awhile at least.

This is basically a big QQ rant.

I hate to break it to you but..guess what?! The prices of the colossal scimitar and all those other rares would have dropped anyways.

Its common knowledge that in any MMO prices of items will never rise unless the item doesn't drop anymore.

Also did it ever occur to you that the drops for crystalline and eternal blade skins are still extremely rare? I guess not.

that has nothing to do with selfishness, its the fact that most of us put out the hours to do so and reward for our effort. It's like saying you put out hours after hours in school to get hire by microsoft to pay 50$ an hour only for someone who just got a job at McDonald with the same paid rate.

What is wrong with you? It takes 250 individual kills to reach 5k faction. You can go out in pve, buy a key, and run it in less than a minute. Stop whining about pve items dropping. I've opened the chest 15 times. I've only gotten two golds. They were both pretty bad. Most of the drops from the chest are one sweet or one alcoholic beverage.

Oh noes!!! There's a one in 5,000 chance you'll actually get a worthwhile drop!

Hope they leave it as is. Personally I don't give a damn about farming. I just play the game. But then again, this is coming from someone who mostly pvp's. Real happy we have something to do with our excess faction.

Hey they actually added something good to the game for once, my faction is always full so I have something to spend it on. But I agree that the drops are a bit too good for a chest you open with faction, but I still like it.

see it as you may and say it as you like, you are the paid customer, so if you like being pushed around thats fine by me. long as your happy with what anet is doing, then continue to put in the hours and empty your pocket. as for me im done with.
