First they implement loot scalling and do what they can to nerf farming and keep people away from it and away from their attempts to get rich. Then they see that people buy more and more gw gold because they've nerfed farming and made it far less efficient - so they start to ban people and ban the sellers. By doing so they don't fight with the cause of the problem, but with the results.

Are they blind or just plain stupid ?

These people are right faq is bad shorthand for your guild name. So by their logic gamefaqs is a porno site about gay players.

when will they add a "scam" option in the /report box ?

instead of banning so much people for their in game names, get rid of some of these scammers

roflmmfao! A guy with 'faq' gets in trouble for his name, yet there are people running with names like "c*nt eater." Personally I look at faq and see "frequently asked questions" not fag, f*ck, or any other colorful adjetive and I have one of the dirtiest minds of everyone I know! (I'm sure there are worse than me, I'm just saying.) Some people need to seriously take a chill pill.

Which is why I don't talk to anyone anymore. And after I did some gold transfers between my accounts I waited to see if I got banned. Thankfully not.
No local chat, no trading, nope not at all.
hmmm try to have fun. It's not fun anymore

I think the saddest part is that it's all become a witch hunt- yes there are some valid reports I am sure but for the most part the petty, childish people run the show now. Sort of like having to live in America with the ACLU and it's many frivolous law suits

I got banned for 72 hours for saying racial slurs.

I just logged on to find my account banned for 328 hours. lol? *logs on pvp account and works on glad title for 2 weeks* I must have done something VEEEERY bad. This on the wings of last night where a girl threatened to /report me for everything, like saying I would buy her 5TB HDD (lol?) for 4 grand USD, and she said offering to buy items in GW for real world cash. I was also threatened a ban because I said her armor was ugly, and asked which dumpster she pulled it out of. lol.

Thou shalt not insult others armor, even if it is the most god forsaken thing you have ever seen.

Your bans are up there on the silly scale. It always seems I get banned when one of these threads pops up. Does ANET go ban silly at the end of the month?

WHat is even funnier is that it doesn't give one of those vague reasons on this ban message, like racial slurs, inappropriate character name, it just says a breach of the user agreement. Apparently I got banned for one of those...cough...underlying rules. lollololol. Am I the only one who finds this funny?

yes friends and me all got a breach of User Agreement thing pop up when we were banned,(code=045) right? i dont get it why thought

Because they couldn't invent a logical reason as to why, but it is easy to type in numbers into the system for length of ban. In my case, 328 hrs or something, lol! I thought that each time you got banned, the amount of time went up, but they would start you at a small ban. The last time my Rahja account got banned, was like 7 months ago for 24 hours... 24 hours jumps to 2 weeks? Well good lord, I wonder what step 3 is? It is either 1000 hours, or perma. I'm going with the latter.

I'd have gone with retarded personally. But that's too un-PC.

Eagerly awaiting the imminent GW ban which will result from posting that on a GW fanforum. If the OP can see it, it doesn't matter that it's not ingame, expect the heavy hammer of the ban.

Random smiley... hope that softens the blow some and makes me seem more human and less like a corporate automaton. The response emails from ANet are clearly botted, as they are all identical, to the last word.... Hmm, interesting that, doncha think?
