Alot of yall know syncing has been around for a long time. Me and my friends have done it for some of the costume brawl. After rolling a number of teams just because of the added organization added by players you actually know, i wonder if this should be fixed or it just part of the game similar to death leveling in presearing? I'm just wondering what the average player feels about syncing, may it be in RA or special events like costume bawl, snow fight, or beetle racing.
Syncing and view of the average guildwars player

Syncing is "cheating" in the respect that it allows you to have an almost guaranteed above par team in an inherently disorganized gameplay.
I have no problem with that whatsoever, since these teams aren't even remotely invincible. RA guarantees there is no major meta game going on, and you can always find odd counters.
Then again, there are some people who are convinced that doing so makes them great pvpers, since they win more often than they lose. Good for them, or something.
Anything random was never considered a big deal of any kind.
And average players don't post on forums, so you won't find their feedback here.

For CB, this seems ridiculous, because the event was created so that we can have "fun". They look like overcompetitive children who want to "pwn" you. This is competitive play, but also FUN. Unless these guys are perverts who enjoy making people ridiculous (doubt it!) or cannot feel "fun" if they loose?

Synching makes sense for event arenas like CB, but does not make sense for RA. The reason is because the event arenas do not have an organized alternative - there is no "team arena" for snowball fighting, costume brawl, etc. Therefore, if I actually want to play the event game with competent people and/or with my friends, the only way to do so is to 321join.
@Fril: "Fun" doesn't mean you stop caring about things like competency. Playing with people who don't know what they're doing isn't actually much fun - it's just frustrating. It has nothing to do with being competitive or not - even when there's nothing at stake, it's just more fun to play when you and everyone around you knows what they're doing.

Syncing = Cheating.
FYI: The most used Game designers definition of cheating is "Anything that exploits the game in order to act differantly in terms of advantages/disadvantages then the designer intended"
Anet's designers designed Brawl to be random. Any exploit to get around that is cheating.
Technically, even in random arena, leaving/rejoining until you get a monk is also cheating.

It was supposed to be Random Arena.

- glad points
- progression
- TA in the end
Some builds which are godly in RA are horrible in TA. Although I doubt many plan to stay for TA if they start in RA.
Since the only reward is 5 or 10 consecutives, there is a desire to have a good team.
If RA were single match, then there would be less emphasis on team. But with current design, guaranteeing a benefit for your own side to farm those 3 glad points does make sense in some way. And to feel leet of course.
Syncing in various events, snowball arena or costume brawls however brings back that old quote about winning special olympics.
people who do 'snycing' (now thats a catchy title) make the game for the rest of us NOT fun.....I stopped playing the snowball fights cause of teams that did that, I have also found that the CB has gone that way as well......
I dont pvp and this is one of the few places for us pve people to try out pvp without having to be 'leet' to get a few victories. If you need to be 'leet' go back to pvp and let us pve people have some fun.

I think syncing isn't really a problem, esp if theres a lot of ppl playing. I tried to sync with ONE friend once in RA and out of 10 attempts, none of them yielded results.
If it's all about randomness, then if a group successfully syncs, I think its just lucky for them given that the brawl is hugely successful, and the chances of success are quite slim.
