Err what do you mean by "Competitive PvP"? AB or FA? If so, ye it's good.

Using 3 sup runes is a joke in any other forms of pvp just to push stats as high as possible, even in RA. And your stat distributing is also a joke BTW, if you want to talk about pvp, go Gladiator's arena

You are one of the many "I hax GW for 2 years, I must be gud!!!!!!111111." If you cant see why your build is awful, you are hopeless, especially after 2 years playing.

not really- some people are better in one week then someone in two years, unfortunately all you guys seem to worry about is health. Consider the KD- they are on the ground the entire time. All I do is assassin, I have unlocked every skill and constatnly watch other players, if your not good enough to dodge attention then you obviously shouldn't try this build.

Maybe because health is one of the most important things you need.

Sure, you can run 3 sups in ABs because you get no dp, but if you ran 3 sups in TA, GvG or HA, once you get dp you're worthless. This doesn't only go for your build, but for any build.

No matter how good you are at GW, you will die with 305hp, and you will become worthless with dp. If you honestly think you will be fine with 305hp, that's your decision. The fact is, 305hp in PvP is bad.

Dash is not the be-all and end-all of escaping. It's certainly a useful skill, but you're one cripple, one mesmer hex away from doom.

[skill=text]Imagined Burden[/skill], or any of a metric ton of skills designed to slow you down, mean your toast. Degen will kill you. Any amount of focused fire will kill you.

We all know that the spiking ability of the assassin is unparalleled. However, what you've done here is taken that idea to an illogical conclusion. You need at least a semblance of survivability in any PvP build, and this just doesn't seem to have any.

thank you for at least being respectful Sqube. I have lots of minor tweaks to all of these that make them survivable, but its just more fun to live or die by the skin of your teeth.

As all others have said, this build lacks survivability to the max, and the damage you will get compared to an assassin that uses minor attribute runes is rather little, certainly not enough to justify this train wreck of a build.

Harsh truths FTW.

Maybe you all should try a battle with him to see it work...

I suck at timing so most of the kewl builds never work for me, either that or I just need to work with someone to learn 'em properly.

I have learned from many games, TCC Games, Video and such, that if a player has found something that works for him, however improbable it may seem, one should respect the ingenuity and creative thought.

Have him show you how it works, not just beat him down because you can't see or understand how he makes it work. Maybe he could capture a video of his battles to show the proof of concept.

A word of caution on the initial post: that this is no way an easy build to run would have been good. =)

my 2 cents, I'll shut up now. =)

Peace,

Todd

FYI: I am pretty much a PvE-er, I am not twitchy enough to be good at PvP. So I don't have a lot of experience in PvP. I am just addressing the concept of his build not the validity of it. =)

It's basically the tried-and-tested 123456-kill SP 'sin common to many areas of PvP.
Except the survivability is terrible and the spike longer.

It's baed.

Master of sins should play monk for a while, he WILL pull hair because healing people wearing multiple sup runes is a major pain in the ass (If someone brings up prot spirit he'll get digitally slapped, mind you).

OK,dodge attention?HELLO your not playing VS all npc's in pvp pvp stands for player versus player, where people are actually smart enough to attack the higher priority targets(or,some),so all i can say is your someone who spends FAR too much time in pve(player versus enviroment, btw) and thinks pvp and pve are the same

So far, in decent PvP, the greatest dangers to me (hence me being able to do my job) have been degeneration and Necro hexes draining my HP. Often, not even coming from the guy I'm fighting (he's indeed too busy being KD'd to death).

Where in heaven's name did you get the idea that it was just the two of you slugging it out?

hmm well it seems that the opinion hasn't changed much- but yes, I should have said that this build is very difficult to run well. When I saw dodge attention I mean that when the four of you attack you use tactics to make it seem as if your not worth the time to your enemies. TY greywolf. And yes- I think I will find a way to video my builds and post them- then you can see how I run it- delete it if you want, it still exists.

Just for shits and giggles, and ignoring all the obvious no-no's of this build...

What do you do when:

1) Monk has just pre-protted with Guardian or SoD
2) Monk preempted with Holy Veil
3) A defensive stance is triggered midway into your combo chain (keep in mind this can be done even when knocked-down from the iron palm).

You run your finger down the keyboard and hope for a kill, just like every other SP spiker.
The difference is that every other SP spiker doesn't die in 2 hits.
