I think everyone who bought all three games, plus the expansion should have access to this material. I am severely displeased with Area Net over this. I might not return to Guild Wars 2. I mean, if this is how they treat their customers, then I don't think i'll buy their products anymore.

I certainly don't know all the details with what happened in your case, but even taking that out of the picture - it's a bonus pack, it came about because of a certain promotion. You're not entitled to it just because you own all three expansions, nor are you being "treated" in any certain way just because this bonus pack needs to be acquired from their personal store. And when people stand up on their podium and go "I am OWED this content!" ... well, I wish that were the case. But it's not.
I personally had major problems with the ingame store. I researched it with my bank, and found out that NCSoft (the ultimate charge source) was blocked because of fraudulent transactions in the past (eh, must've gotten some really weird stuff happening at some time in the past). Meanwhile NCSoft had blocked me from trying to take a transaction out for a week cuz of repeated attempts. I further found out that my bank could unblock NCSoft for 24 hours time, allowing me to take the transaction out. Suffice it to say, nearly 3 weeks later I bought what I intended to in the first place. Adding PayPal would simplify things a TON, especially since it offloads financial responsibility from the ingame store to PayPal.
As for the BMP, I'm more excited for the bits of lore they're going to handle. They may be playing up the "ZOMG! You get to fight Palawa Joko!" angle, but in reality they're going to fill in tidbits about Cantha, the ancient Scourge of Vabbi, the little 2 year blackspot after the Searing, and the true origin of the Mursaat. Yes, we'll FINALLY get to see what's above the Ullen River (how else will Saul D'Alessio find them?). For me, answering more of those unanswered questions in the lore will trump whatever cheap green/armor/mini/cheesy reward you get.

I'm really sorry that people would have to go to extra effort to make a purchase, but the truth is, we've had a high level of Internet fraud perpetrated in the store, which has resulted in our tightening restrictions. It's sort of like your neighborhood store. You're just fine until you notice disappearing merchandise, at which time you might need to get that camera system, or hire a "secret shopper" who looks for shoplifters.
Anyway, TaCktiX, you were very resourceful, and very non-criticizing, and I do appreciate that! The best means to purchase these days is through the in-game store, and not the PlayNC store. The safeguards are still in place, but existing customers will have an easier experience in the in-game store.
Edit to add: PayPal? I just wish that there was some way I could get access to the extra content without having to jump through hoops, and climb latters. I just wish you guys had done Pay Pal.
But if you guys keep doing special "in-game-store-only promotions" ... without a alternitive payment option, then I just dunno about GW2.
With that said, I really want to put in that I LOVE guild wars. All three chapters, plus I think GWEN is a blast. The dungeons are great to do with guildies, and allience friends. As I have made a number of new mates during the year i've been playing GWs. I'm sorry Gaile, to have said such things. But it's hard to ignore the truth sometimes, ya know??
:]
Seriously though guys...Gaile has said in the past that the online store essentially has nothing to do with her...
How many companies are out there that managed to get an online store that actually worked, and allowed more than one method of payment? Geez, even the NCSoft online store, which basically OWNS GW, managed to work.
I have absolutely no problem with the BMP Promotion at all. It makes sense that it be through the online store, promoting people to buy directly for the source. It IS however a stupid time to have had it, with an online store that didn't work for a lot of credit card users, had no alternative payment methods, and didn't offer a good enough variety of product purchases.
I'm lucky I had no problems with my CC (other than the ridiculous exchange rate from AUD to GBP) and so I've qualified. I'm looking forward to it, but I still maintain that the GW team should learn from the absolute travesty their online store has been, and maybe actually look at the sites of some other companies who miraculously seem to have avoided all the problems that the GW store was having.
If it were a new technology i would understand, but it isn't, and there's no reason they should have done such a half-arsed job on it. There are heaps of dedicated players who would have been happy to purchase from the store to get the BMP, but were unable to due to false fraud pickups, no alternate payment options, and no appealing stock.
