Zho and her journal

I'm just making a start on the fairly long process of getting a black moa chick mini-pet. I've searched here and on wiki for the answers to a couple of questions about Zho, but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

In the Norn Fighting Tournament does Zho only appear in the 'higher' levels or can she turn up at any time?

Is Zho's journal a tradeable item or is it customised to the character that wins it? I understand that I need it in order to get the incubator but after receiving the journal with say, my dervish, can I then pass it to another character for her to go on and get the chick?

Zho shows up at random, but i think she has a particular round that she might appear in.

I had zho as first opponent before I think its random

On my 1st char. it seemed to take forever to get Zho to appear, I won against Bison 3 times before she finally made her appearance.

On my 2nd char. I needed the book on she was the 3rd one I fought.

Totally random I believe.

It is random which opponents you get in any particular set of matches, but the round they appear in is set.

Zho appears in round 3.

Zho shows up only during round 3, so that will save you some time at least.

I was very lucky compared to some. In a total of five attempts with my mesmer I managed to pick up both the heroes, beat the bison once, so I got my bison cup, and got the journal from Zho.

And now I have my cute little black moa chick.

I've not encountered her yet, and I've beaten Bison about 6 times now.
Oddly enough though... I beat the Great Zehtuka in my first two fights ever, but I've never seen him since... despite NOW having his horn with me.

Guess I just don't have the luck.

I wish took me 28 tries to get Zho to spawn. Talk about a waste of gold.
