I think it would be good, if the topic post was edited with information on how to download textmod. A lot of these cool looking mods have convinced me to get textmod. I know I can google for it and I have, but I think it would be helpful for other individuals.

to get some of these mods to work you need to have the right color scheme, so for the fake gold cape to work, you most likely need to have the same stats of mod that the creator modded.

I have a problem. I use xfire and I like having it on when playing games to record my gaming history and also to chat to people who are outside the game. However with Guild Wars running through texmod, xfire doesn't realise I am playing Guild Wars. My game history isn't being recorded and I can't press Scroll Lock and X together to bring up the chat menu.

I would like to play Guild Wars using a few mods I like using but with no xfire support, this isn't going to happen. Any ideas what I could do?

Sorry if this is violates th TOS, but...

I'm a 3D modeller/texturer, and I'd like to model a Guild Wars themed location. Does anyone know how I can obtain the textures from Guild Wars to texture my environment with?

Using the textures for another project would be a copyright violation.

I don't know about that. I don't intend to sell the models, or have them up for public consumption. I just want to model using the assets a modeller at ArenaNet would have - to go with my portfolio as I'm trying to get a job lined up for when I leave my current one. Obviously the source would be credited.

I had both the cart mods working fine but now they dont show any longer. Can a GW update mess a mod up?

Just completely close out guild wars, load up normally to download the update, then restart through texmod. That will fix the problem.

You have to download Texmod. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:Kurd/Mods will tell you what to do. It's pretty simple, really. Open Texmod, and make sure it's in Packaging mode. Then click on the folder and select gw.exe; then you can select the mods (.tpf files) that you want to use. Click run and the mods should run.

I was wondering. i really dont know anything about the entire business of creating these mods, so this might be really impossible. but how hard would it be to make a mod so that your screen dosnt get blurry when your drunk. it would be alot easier to work on your drunkard title while playing without impairing your character.

Just turn off post processing. Then you won't get the blur.

And if you don't know what the heck post processing is, turn your graphics to low quality!!
