Been trying to get into a party, to do a quest, for two days. Only 'group' was three people that took me outside and then left the game.

Really? Everywhere I go, there're load of people. Maybe you're playing it at off peak time? Where're you anyway?

Try this:

- Go with friends or Guildies
- Try moving to the American or Euro servers and trying you luck there
- Use party search
- Hench / heroes

Most people in the eye are chilling, WTS/WTB stuff or going to the Heart of the Shiverpeaks.

There's nothing that would require a human group in or around the eye, so nobody does.

This is true for almost everything else in GW:EN.

Just because none of the quests or missions around the Eye don't *need* humans, doesn't mean that from time to time some people don't want to group with other humans, for the hit of the whole PuG experience, or just for fun.

Most parties I saw are either doing Heart of Shiverpeak or Into the Depth

Parties for HoS or destruction are pretty common from the eye. If you're trying to get a party for the quest "defending the eye" it's a lot harder as most consider it easy and have done it with H/H. Not really many other parties I've seen being formed from the eye. Well, I've seen a few for Jalis as well I guess, but plenty have already H/H it as well.

sure antheus...you could h/h all of gwen, and most if not all dungeons.
have fun being a lonely loser...some of us play ONLINE games to play with other people.

back to the topic...i generally find at least 2-3 districts for any town i go to in GWEN...are you sure you're not on international districts by accident? just hop around the districts, i'm sure there are plenty of people. the only really dead time is probably around 3-6 (eastern time), too late for euro and too early for america.

if by "eye" you meant the actual outpost Eye of the North...I don't think i've ever seen less than 4 districts there at any given time...just go to american servers.

By that logic, one could argue that people who prefer grouping are needy co-dependents who aren't skilled enough or confident in their own abilities to play solo or micromanage NPC AI.

But since that's not good logic, let's discard it, shall we? Not everyone who likes grouping is needy, and not everyone who chooses to play alone is lonely.

Use party search and if need be, visit Europe/American zones. If you play in the middle of the morning in Am., you'll have better chance of getting in a full party in Euro districts.

The introduction of heroes was a fresh idea since NF, but in some way and its more noticeable in GWEN, ppl are going for quests and even dungeons with heroes and henchies so the fun of making a human party is fading.

Hard mode might have been a balance for this but most of the casual players only play normal mode and tend not to fall in the grind of doing everything again just because its harder.

The quest was search for ebon vanguard. The town, Longeye Ledge. Spent about 14 hours in there the first day, wearing out the lfg keys. Only a few hours, the second day. Third day, finally gave up and took the hench. There were many failed attempts. The person that invented firereigners shouldn't send me an membership application to his fan club. The successful trip through the quest took an hour and 45 minutes. From the quest decription I expected to go outside, find something, quest over. Not the ordeal that is this quest. This thing reminds me of Villainy Of Galrath. Someone should have paid me $40 to do this quest.
Day 4: Got a quest from Killroy Stoneskin. Wasted a couple hours trying to do the quest.
Day 5: Got a quest from Bison. Tried it once. Couldn't get past the first guy.
Also spent an hour in that town. No parties. Very few people. Even the armor guy won't talk to me.
I would compare eye to a lab animal going for bait and getting an electric shock. It takes a while for the memory of each unpleasant experience to fade.
What did I get for finishing ebon vanguard? Another quest, to keep looking. I'll be checking the mail for the $40.
I've tried different servers. I wouldn't inflict this quest on the few friends or guild members that haven't already quit playing guild wars.
One of my guildmates plays eye. She was attempting to get polymock pieces. The next day, I asked her how many pieces she got. She told me that she didn't get any. I don't know anything about polymock, but that sounds wrong.
Why should a person spend time in eye if they aren't getiing anything for their time and effort?
Heart Of Shiverpeaks, Into The Depth: haven't gotten that far. Don't know what those are.
The enjoyable part of eye has been being in town, doing nothing. That's what a lot of other people are doing. So I think I'll do that.
I'll be in Longeye Ledge. I won't try to talk anyone out of doing the quest. I'll go with them. I will attempt to explain to them what they are about to experience.
I haven't received anything for the time that I've been in eye. It hasn't been an enjoyable experience. That's why I'm not spending much time in eye.

Many people just take heroes and hench to do things. Finding other people to group with is almost becoming non existant unless you are going with guildies.
