No and why should they?
Fact is you can only use them for a weapon crafter for weapons you cannot transfer to GW2. Many people believe the skins are ugly. Most people including myself will look forward to a fresh start with GW2. So why ga ga over some crap skins when there are other nice skins out there?

Onyx? I don't know. I've been finding plenty of it without farming Duncan. I'd welcome a bit of a rise though, it'll be nice to have a drop that's worth something. Spare cash to support my lockpick habit is a welcome thing.
Remnants and hierophant items, they'll probably go up quite a bit, which will add a little thrill to finishing Slaver's for the people who haven't ran it to death yet.
Win-win situation.

I've seen loads of people in love with the skins (myself included).

I think the price increase will be three things.
Those that like myself bought them while cheap in hopes of selling later at a bit higher price. *with 27, thats 27k for every k it goes up after 2k*
And those that want to get them while they are still cheap so they can craft them.
And the third ones are those that don't plan on using them now but want to grab them while cheap.

when i was out doing the vanguard missions, i got 5 superior char carvings and when i got to town i decided to trade them to the colector for a curse wand - since i didn't have a curse wepon to use when i decided to go that route....
got a wailing wand 11-22 dmg: haves recharge of curse skills (20%):+15e -1 e-regen...
not the best of wands, but usefull enough till i find something better.
when we got down there i noticed that i had all of the materials for a destroyer wepon already in storage, and i didn't think 5k is too much to craft an elite weapon -- untill i scrolled down to look at the curse wand, and it had the exact same stats as the collector wand i'm runing around with. -
WTF? when did anet forget how to reward people? the piss poor rewards from dungons is one thing, but expensive as hell crafted elite's that are the only ones allowed to be displayed in HoM; should be able to out class PoS collecters items without even trying.

Bit late buddy. It's been like that since Prophecies
