so what you guys do when you fail on getting a one-shot title, Survivor?

My first attempt, a monk got killed by hydras on strange patrols while i was being ran to the desert missions. He made it to survivor.
I'd only tabbed out to change songs :'(

And my second, a ranger, got killed while farming kappa in hard mode.
He was 50k short of legendary.
Lets just say my reaction wasnt pleasant.

well for survivor i usually dont reall mind tbh

i got the first survivor rank with ma paragon and then lag deathed but didnt mind tbh since i play for fun now since if i nvr id get bored again and quit for another 6 months =P

but i got it for ma ranger whom im grooming for having at least all 1st ranks which aint hard i knw but progressivly getting all the top ranks but i play for fun

i did once rage deleted ma dervish after he died since i really wanted survivor with a dervish for some reason lol

I think the 2nd and 3rd must go together.

I got it on my sin, then I was like "This is ganna take some time to max" So I stopped caring and died lol.

I say the title ruins the game :S. Your always extra careful and can't enjoy the game. Thats just me

my attempt at survivor is on the back burner with my attempt at LDoA presear ftl.

Got my monk half way to rank 2 of survivor and then got owned while doing Assault on the Stronghold mission in GWEN. Now that track just sits there staring at me, taunting me...

in my experience, I fail my dervish for my first attemp at LV17 XD
then retry, after that i learn a thing....
always ele as 2nd professional, armor of earth, stone flesh
stay far back from battle, never go into battle, only control your hero to kill everything, keep doing quest, cap skills
if ur hero got owned, simply go back to gh or outpost, since u r far away from battle, so no matter u dc, afk or watever, u r safe.....
in this way, my first 3 LS is my doing quest and cap skill, my other 2 is doing FFF, my last LS is farming in thirsty river HM...
and they are rit, monk, war, dervish, para and ranger

to tell ya the truth, i rarely go for title that give little or no benefits. I often go for ones that helps in the game like the wisdom and treasure hunter or salvage probability and the lucky for retaining lockpicks (note: for me, i often use lockpicks on low-end chests for lucky and the high ends for treasure hunter)

I just try again its my 6th time and so far so good.

All the characters I have came before the title was introduced or before I payed attention to it. So anyway, since I am not making any new characters I am probably not going to get that title ever.

You fail survivor, you start again.

Forgot why I failed the first attempt, failed the second attempt on the way to tier 3 whilst solo farming outside Matuu Keep (way back when you could), failed attempt 3 at lvl4 and realised I should not play a survivor whilst being asleep. Fourth attempt I made it.. and died to shiro just after hitting tier 3

That was on a mesmer, and if you see me play (and tank) with my mesmer, you'll wonder how I ever made survivor.

Currently working on an ele, who died just before tier 2 to an assassin boss in nightfall after I pulled one too many groups.

Let's see...

1st Attempt: Ele made it to Rank 1, died while afk somewhere
2nd Attempt: Rit died at Level 19
3rd Attempt: Mesmer made it to Rank 1, then got owned by Shiro in Factions
4th Attempt: Paragon made it to Rank 1, then got owned solo farming
5th Attempt: Dervish made it to Rank 2 (950,000 or so XP) and got Owned trying to solo Shiro in Gate of madness, lasted about 3 mins against him until IMPOSSIBLE ODDS hit.
Last and final try is my second Warrior, has Rank 1 and is sitting at Naphui Quarter in Factions, might go for it later, but for now she will sit there.

When my ranger died 45k XP shy of rank 2 (through my own stupidity, trying to cap the Mo boss in Respendent Mahkuun during the last double cap weekend), I cried for a bit, then I picked myself up and started playing.

I managed to get my para and a W to rank 2 afterwards that same weekend and, once the fear of not dying was lifted, proceeded to finish off Factions and NF and play through Proph with that ranger, in about 10 days or so.

If not a Survivor, he does have Protector on all 3 campaigns.

And, of course, I'm trying again - in addition to the para and W, I have 2 other chars now at ~400K XP and a 3rd that's 25k away from rank 2.

PvP titles ftw. Cross account pwnage.

Tried getting survivor once. Went all the way up to lvl 16 before I stupidly went afk while in the middle of the area outside kunaing city (or whatever it's called). Came back and found my party dying. Tried to get out of there, but died.

I hate how henchies can't take on enemies by themselves, but when you target call everything goes down easy... even when I whack at them with 0 dagger mastery.......

I managed to get the first Survivor rank on my Monk during the Triple XP weekend, last week. I don't intend on going any further with it though, it was very boring, and pretty stressful. I actually had a friend to help me out. Basically, I stood at the start of the mission, while he went out to finish it. 6000+ exp for the first few Nightfall missions, and then I just went over to Factions to get some experience from those quests.

Yeah.. Not a particularly impressive title, and too much stress to really be worth it. I just really wanted to get it for my Monk and thought it was the perfect time to do it. I've never tried to get it before to have failed, and never plan to try again.

Gods! I just died with 700 K expereince on the counter...

Only one thing i need to know now: Can i use customized stuff on a new character with the same name? Otherwise i better quit this game altogether.

On the other side, wile you didn't die yet, it is rather exiting to attempt LS.

My policy is this, if you wasted too much money on the character, don't start over.

I had around 150k exp going good, wasnt specifically aiming for the title, though i wasnt planning on running in and aggroing every mob just to see if im a true survivor

It was the time of the dragon festival, i figured i would have a quick go in the dragon arena, since i remembered it was quite fun the last time.... ofcourse forgetting that those deaths do count. I was mad, livid infact when i realised the number in my xp bar and the one in my survivor track wasnt the same. A moment of pure stupidity i guess. Though after yelling a few things and things at few other things at our poor dog (didnt really do that, just to give you an idea ), i was back to normal and just continued my char. You forget about losing survivor within minutes, i did at least.

Oh well, i deleted my failed survivor and decided to take a break from the game. I probably start again when the weather gets really bad.... Or tomorrow.
