Sometimes i am rendered unable to load websites such as Guild Wars Guru, or currently the WoW website. All the appears on the page is that 'The connection has timed out'. This happens on all browsers, even though i am using firefox.
Does anyone know how to fix this, and my mate can get on the websites fine when i can't.
Thanks a lot!

Are you and your mate on the same Internet connection? If you are, details about your computers, the network's structure, configuration, any firewalls and other software used could be useful.
If not, it may be time to give your ISP a call - after making sure it's not just some crappy firewall blocking the whole connection.
Also, given how underpowered the Guild Wars Guru server is I wouldn't use it to test Internet connectivity; it times out sometimes even when there's nothing wrong with the connection. I think it's been down at least twice in the last two weeks, too.

Boot your computer into safemode with networking:
-Restart your computer, and hold down the F8 key before windows loads.
-Select Safemode with Networking, hit enter.
-When Safemode loads, try bringing up the WoW and Guru pages. If they start working, there's a problem with your computer.
--If they don't work, contact your ISP for tech support. You may be having internet issues.
