Having reached Hard mde in NF, I've tried farming a couple of times but the drops are no different than normal mode. I cannot see how people can make anywhere close to the kind of money they claim. You'd be lucky to make 1plat/hour with what the mobs drop.

Also, even though the rewards for lightbringer/sunspear are increased, the same issue applies. I cannot see how on earth you can get those titles in anywhere close a to reasonable amount of time.

Either people are spending ludicrous amounts of time (ie their entire lives sat infront of the pc) to do these things, or I'm missing something.

1k/hour lucky? Dude, Plains of Jarin HM is at about 2k/15mins, meaning about 8k/hour, excluding any good golds like icy blade axes and stuff. There are heaps of farming spots out there that get you craploads of money.

Now that I think about it, sunspear grinding from Gate of Desolation takes ~15 mins and gets you about 600 gold in addition to 500 sunspear points. If you can't make 1k/hour in HM, you're doing something seriously wrong with farming.

look at one of the wikis for info on the fastest ss/lb farms. The best one (if you still have the quests to do it) gets you about 3600 lb points and about 3000 sunspear points in an hour. it also includes 4 bosses so lots of chances for elite tomes). I also found this run was giving me pretty good money, maybe around 7-8k per hour.

And most of the money from hard mode is made from farming elite tomes or rare skins, ie collosal scimitar.

Sorry but this just isn't true.

I've been to the Temple of the Monolith and it's empty.

THere is no way you get 2k/15 mins at all. Just not true. I've tried. I didn't get anything close to that, not anywhere.

Check this out for details.

Yeah def true take both quests and if you dont make about 2-3k per run well then your just got bad luck, i used to do it group of 4 or 5 max in the worms and each of us typically got 3-5 golds per run + 2k in cash and 3-4k in sunspear points i think anyway managed to max out me title in no time at all or yeah and 500 lb points or is it the other way round??? Been a while now

Also, don't judge a farm spot from visiting it once or twice only. There are good runs and bad runs, there are even bad days.
Last but not least, when people say they make x amount of gold in y amount of time, they take average values. Especially the amount of time invested usually is that of experienced farmers who know their builds and the mobs by heart, and who follow a fixed routine path. Someone who just starts farming that spot may well take more than twice the time to complete the same run.

He can still do them with PuG, if some other player has them.
