Defensive Anthem

Does anyone know if the staff (etc) attack from monks, elementalists count as an Attack Skill? - just to clarify things. I was hoping it to be like Aegis but it isn't and if it staff attack breaks the buff it's kinda bad.. too brief to help actually.

As long as you dont use an attack skill defensive anthem will stay up. Auto attacks like you do with a staff will not cause skills that disable on use of an attack skill to terminate. There are also skills that disable on attack (without the 'skill'), staff attacks will disable those.

After really testing this out i think this is really bad for an elite skill. Recharge time vs Duration (add activation time & energy cost to that) compare with Aegis (non-elite skill) - of course they're not ment to be as powerfull but taking an elite slot for this skill seems wastefull. Ballad of Restoration can pretty much nullify the damage taken anyway.

Typically DA is chained with 2 paras, you can even throw in a monk with aegis. In HA
both paras have SYG also. So one casts DA other casts SYG then vise
versa. But yeah as you see it now with 1 para its lame.

Actually dual DA 'd with a para in fow not too long ago, we pretty much owned the joint.
