Sure seems to me that opening end of dungeon chests should count as a 'high end' chest and go towards the treasure hunter title, i mean they are always dropping golds or greens and its a hell of a lot of work to get to them, yeah thats a high end chest if i ever saw one, anyone else agree?
Edit: Whoops meant to post in GW:EN but oh well.. maybe someone can move it =)

Because people really cant ebay those 6 million of gold required for title. Or can they.

10 points/~hour is nothing gamebreaking when you can run one chest per minute.
Thus, boss chests giving points would hardly change anything.

Thus, boss chests giving points would hardly change anything. Well, ebaying the cash and buying the keys won't help you much, as you still have to actually play enough to find 10000 chests. Which is, to put it lightly, a cubic arseload.

Thou, currently it takes more time to get gold for one key than open one chest.
It can cut time required to half.

Half the pain of treasure hunter is finding the chest. So yes a known location one does cheapen it. And it is 36 an hour with iding and merching. Not 1 a minute if you run more than a few.

It would actually mean more coming from a chest you have to work 30 minutes or more to get to.

Treasure Hunter is such an eBay title
Snowman lair takes 10mins and has ~5chests in it so thats 30 per hour if you have the cash
Once you have the cash its nothing more than doing a few runs
a free +1 at end of dungeons isn't going to de-value an eBay title any, if anything people may respect it more afterwards

I have rank 4 chest hunter and I would say so far that is quite an accomplishment, however I definitely wouldn't mind having those chests count towards something. Definitely would make me feel a bit better when I get a req 13 Spawning Wand.
Remember that kid who got banned because he ran chests over and over again? He was basically running out to a spot, rezoning and going back in and this netted him about 400 or so chests in about 6 hours if I recall. That's okay but going to a dungeon to get 10 towards it cheapens the title?

No it isn't an Ebay title debate it all you want but they tend to go for easy ones like wisdom and sweet tooth. Before you go there ... no I didn't Ebay the title. Problem with gw is Anet dumbing down the game continuously for people that don't want to put the effort into getting what they want.

Treasure Hunter is unlikely to be an Ebay title for the reason that anyone taking that shortcut isn't going to burn time on chest hunting. For the most part, chest running turned a profit anyway - money is not really an issue once a player got into it (although, with items worth less now, this may not be as true). Any player willing to spend the time to run 10k chests had the time and ability to farm the cash in the first place.
I don't really see an issue with adding these chests - the effect is too minor overall unless you're farming dungeons heavily, which is still far slower than running.

I'm going to start off with something slightly off-topic:
It kinda bums me out that if you see someone with a sweet-tooth or drunkard title the majority of people are going to assume it was done using ebay. Same goes for FoW armor or other high end items. My gf has maxed tons of titles simply because she didnt spend her cash for 2 years and finally dumped it all into them. Not everybody uses ebay, there are many honest gamers out there who don't want to cheapen their experience buying cash online to accomplish things and actually enjoy playing the game to reap the rewards. When you refer to something as an "Ebay title" you are perpetuating the steriotype. Sure, there are alot of titles that can be easily accomplished buying gold on ebay, But I wouldn't say that those were "Ebay titles", simply that the people using Ebay to get them are "Frigging Losers". Anet does what they can to stop these people and for the rest of us who work hard towards the titles we want for looooooong periods of time it really sucks to hear that.
That being said, I don't think 1 point towards treasure hunter would make much of a difference in the larger scale of things. I'd much rather see the gold rate increase in the locked chests across eotn. Lockpicks are expensive and when I have to use them to open chests that yield a purple item 9 out of 10 times it really kinda sucks too.
That is all, thank you for your time,

I don't really see an issue with adding these chests - the effect is too minor overall unless you're farming dungeons heavily, which is still far slower than running. I have opened 11000 chests on my warrior. About the last 6000 have been an easy 80% purple .. of which most were non max purples to add insult to injury. Over the course of that title if I had been given the chance to open 200 or more free chests that would have been nice .. not too mention at what lockpicks cost a nice savings. Don't know if u maxed the title or not but chest running hasn't turned a profit in a looooooooong time. Made my first mil before there was a rune trader so no Ebay was never needed.
