Or are they Seige Devourers?
Anyway...
While you're inside one of those things...
/dance.
I'm going to log in to check wurms now.
edit: nm, the wurms are lame.
For those that haven't experimented with the New Devourer Catapult

at the moment i think those devourers are one of the best things in the game!
and takign them onto another map is so sweet, however, after clearing out the first map and traveling to Sacnoth Valley i overestimated my firepower and was wipped by a very large group of Grawl, so many of thier nasty priests, and the very nasty fire beasties, elementals and spirits, where somewhat of a shock, maybe if we could nick two it would be a lot easier!
however they rock, now all i want is a mountable elephant

All players in the group can have devourers. If you rezone in one and go back, there will be a new one where you got the first one. Tested. Also, for fastest results, start out of Doomlore shrine, get the Dalada devourer, rezone west, immediately rezone east, and get the "same" devourer again. It's faster than getting the other devourer in the west, since there are almost no enemies in your way.
Now the only problem is getting a group that will know how to take advantage of it to clear out areas really fast.
PS: I am told you don't need to actually learn how to use a devourer to use them. So, go ahead and grab one on your first exit from Longeye's ledge.
PPS: No, you can't take them into "misions". You will appear on foot in the mission even if you started in a devourer. BUT, if you end in an explorable area, you will be back in a devourer once you finish the mission.

I went last night with two devourers and 20 minnions to Sacnoth Valley and got wiped by thoes Grawl and their priests. You will still have to pull smaller groups out to get them all. We even both targeted the same grouping of priests first for a seige hit and it did not wipe them. They are cool to use against boss fights though. The one quest where you kill the boss for Anton took 2 seconds when I targeted with my seige hit and my firend unleased his. LOL it had not even cleared the popup were they were talking about fighting before he was dead. Got to love them. I was going to start a new thread about machines, weapons and technology in GW2, and I may still but what are your thoughts on that. If 200 years pass the machines, weapons and technology in GW2 would be really advanced when you look at where the Charr are with this mechanical devourer and the Azura race? Look whats happened here on earth in the last 200 years.
