hero runes

If I have a hero ele with a superior fire rune in his head piece, and I want to switch to earth, how do I get my fire helmet back for later use? I mean it seems everytime I want to switch elements I'll have to buy another superior rune? am I missing something? seems expensive for a test..

Hero runes can be expert salvaged without losing the armor. Just buy a set of runes and if you ned to change them, just expert salvage off what you want and put the new one on.

YOU WILL NOT DESTROY THE ARMOR or any insignias on the armor.

Salvage the rune from the hero's headpiece. As far as I know you can't destroy hero's armour by salvaging.

Use Expert Salvage Kit or Superior Salvage Kit to get the rune out. Heroes armor will never break and you'll get the rune back everytime.

Shame you have to waste uses on the kit though.

Well, ,it sure beats having the risk of losing insignia's or runes and the cost of the actual piece of armor.

I will take the 4gp cost anyday.
