Norn Farming

Okay, if you're lucky, you can get the shrine bonuses to be something close to this. Couple that with the Rampage and Boss Hunt bonuses and you're well on your way. These numbers are estimates and you gain rank randomly every 25 kills or shrine touch.

Rank 1: >= 25 Kills = 20 point reward from Shrine
Rank 2: >= 50 Kills = 40 point reward from Shrine
Rank 3: >= 100 Kills = 60 point reward from Shrine
Rank 4: >= 150 Kills = 100 point reward from Shrine
200 Kills = 100 Bonus (might be random)
225 Kills = 100 Bonus (might be random)
250 Kills = 120 Bonus (might be random)

Varajar Fells, off of Olafstead is the quickest place that I've found. Lots of Modnir, imps, minotaurs, bisons and the like, all lvl 20-22. The party config I mentioned earlier works well for quick kills. Just sick your Dom Mez on the healers and you are gtg.

Exit town and grab that first shrine then start clearing your way Southwest. Do not hit any more shrines. When you get to the far SW shrine before the portal you should have over 100 kills already, so get your reward and backtrack to the shrine you missed. Then head up and clear the NW corner, you should be well over 150 kills by now and rank 4 so you will get your 100 bonus rep for all future shrines. Then merely start clearing working clockwise.

For the Northern lake surrounded by imps, flag your entire party behind the big hill and pull them, letting your dominons take the maelstroms.

Avoid the circle of undead in the East. It will slow you down a lot and is more work than its worth unless your doing the quest.

There is a Merchant in the SE corner if you need to unload loot.

When I was done, I had over 350 kills including the vaetari pop ups (need essences for collector) in about an hour of playtime.

Oh... Oddly enough, I seem to get 3-4 map pieces during this run as well. For those I just hop over to that Asura quest town and sell em for 500gp a pc.

So is it faster than Drakkar lake? Guess I'll give it a try.

I farmed all the way from rank 2 to 5 in Varajar Fells. Got my armor and don't want anymore. Like all farms - it's booooring.
But it works. Don't know if it's faster than Lake, but IT IS pretty fast.

Hmm, just to add on, for dwarven points, go to Koris Deeprunner and do the fun dungeon he has (Kill the snowmen!). You get like 10k points in an hour or something like that.

You kind of over complicated that a bit. I reached rank 7 Norn in just the 2 days of the preview by farming Drakka Lake about 15-20 times.

You get about 3-4k points every time, simple as!!

It's pretty hard to MM there in some areas. The undead and griffon zone pack tons of holy damage so it's very hard to keep minions up. The ice imp area has alota frozen elementals that don't even have corpses. I tried 2 mm's and it was going good until the undead dervs literally killed almost all the minions. Btw, it's not really worth using a dom mes just for the monks since they die easy anyways.

I just did my first farm of Drakkar, got 4-5k points in 1:15...I originally was going to stop after going around the lake...but then I started exploring the cave and ended up demolishing some Stone Summit Camp...by the end I got 350 kills!

Hah, I tried Fells, poorly prepared for the ele damage. 60 dp by the end but I finished it. I'll probably go back to Drakkar Lake because it's more scenic and interesting.

I cleared this area earlier tonight and got something in the region of 6.5k norn points overall. I did maintain a rampage bonus for most of it and managed to get 2 time attacks and a boss bonus too. Pretty useful, only another 1.5k to go till i can get my armour. Btw, i used this set up:

Me: Packhunter Ranger
Sousuke: SH ele
Vekk: SH ele
Razah: Restoration rit
2 monk, 2 war henches.

It took about an hour and a half overall. Probably not the fastest, but i got a platinum longbow drop so im not complaining.

I don't know if you guys noticed this, but bosses give 51 points per kill (more if higher level hunt?), and there is an Asura quest that involves killing 6 bosses in Norn territory. It's the last of the line of quests to kill Facets. Would getting a higher level hunt beef up that farm run?

I was hunting in the falls clearing the map and I found the imp boss. At the time I had about 250 kills and a rampagers hunt bonus, when i killed him i got around 600 points.

Pretty nice. was wondering which place would be a nice farming spot. Figured Falls would be and now i know it is so woot for norn farming spot.
