Heh.
Didn't you ever watch Thundercats when you were younger?
I tried it the way you did at first and failed... but then I noticed I had "Call of the Eye" on me... and realised it actually meant the Eye of Thundera.... and it all became clear.

A/Rt
What I used to beat it:
[skill]Way of Perfection[/skill][skill]Sight Beyond Sight[/skill][skill]Golden Phoenix Strike[/skill][skill]Critical Strike[/skill][skill]Moebius Strike[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill][skill]Critical Agility[/skill][skill]Critical Defenses[/skill]
I'm sure you can work the attributes out yourself. Just load up with Critical (13) and Dagger and throw the rest into Shadow Arts. Runes are a must.
When you see the bastard appear, activate Way of Perfection.
When he turns red... stick on Critical Agility.
When you hit with Golden Phoenix Strike, activate Critical Defenses.
And above and beyond the rest... when he is close to completing Shadowsong, activate Sight Beyond Sight.
Easy as pie.
You might get blinded once or twice if you're unlucky... but activate SBS as soon as it recharges and you should be fine.
If you're not totally alright with it as is, use Daggers of Enchanting.

Just for people who needs help with this in the future.... (",)
One method that'll work with ALL CLASSES is as a Primary/Secondary NECROMANCER:-
SKILLS:
1) Animated Bone Minions
2) Animated Bone Horror
3) Animated Shambling Horror
4) Blood of the Master
5) Grenth's Balance
6) Anything (Preferably Energy Boost)
7) Anything (Preferably Energy Boost)
8) Anything (Preferably Energy Boost)
ATTRIBUTES: Death Magic as high as possible. Do whatever you want with the rest... Keep in mind that energy management is very important here.
WEAPON/ARMOR: Anything that gets your Energy to 50 and above...
STEPS:
Before the Glacial Griffon arrives/become hostile run to the wolves' corpses.
BEGIN CASTING:
1. Animated Bone Minion (2 Minions Total),
2. Animated Bone Horror (3 Minions Total),
3. Animated Shambling Horror (4 Minions Total),
4. Animated Bone Minion (6 Minions Total),
5. Animated Bone Horror (7 Minions Total),
6. Animated Gone Minions (9 Minions Total).
Don't bother healing your undeads before you get 7 or more of them. Concentrate on getting more minions first. Wait a while to gain energy if required. Don't worry, by the time you get 6-7 minions out, he won't be summoning any/too many spirits.
By the time you get 7-9 minions, he'll be too busy dealing damage to them to even worry about killing you.
Using Blood of the Master, heal your minions when you see their health going lower than 75%. Otherwise, don't waste too much energy. Keep up the healing until YOUR OWN health's pretty low. Use Grenth's Balance on the Griffon - it'll take a huge chunk of HP from it for yourself. Continue to heal your minions and use Grenth's Balance when YOUR HP is low.
Rinse and Repeat. He'll be wasted in no time.
Hope this helps... It's pretty simple, but you've gotta be fast, especially in the beginning.
Good luck!
Cheers.

Can somebody please post what skills are used in this "Riposites" build? (I assume it's the same build that warriors use to be the norn tournament with, too.)
I've seen it mentioned repeatedly, but I can't seem to find any listing of it. x-x;

That above, does not work ( I'm summoning as fast as possible, but about 3 seconds after his name turns red, theres 4 spirits out), does anyone have a Necro build that works, I'm so close to abandoning, zero fun
