I did not go to the East Front erm... Charr like many of my guildies, and did not regret it so far.

There would be many things to tell, but let's talk about POLYMOCK.

It is like Pokemon with proper beasts. I.e. GW graphics, not silly Pikachus.

There is some strategy involved, plus some reflexes for interrupting or blocking at the right time. I found it way cooler and more diverse like the Norn Tournament where despite some adjustments some builds still kill Magni all the time.

Hu, does anyone know if you can play it vs human players, too?

Strategy yes. Annoying very. If I do manage to beat Plogg twice, the game won't rez him and I can't complete it.

Only thing that is kinda anoying me is that your health/energy does not reset on round 2 or 3, and that there are no self heals.

But otherwise its fun and you cant get past it by just mashing 123.

I've been dying for something in this game to take thought. Polymock, when Anet compared it to chess, instantly appealed to me in theory. In practice? Not playing it. My friend's delivery for GW:EN is 2 days late and I have mine in my hand. Instead of rubbing his nose in it, I'm going to wait until he gets his before I start playing.

Doesn't need nerfed, needs fixing. Mineis bugged 50% of the time. When we both dies at the sam time Iwas rezzed with my normal skill bar and I couldn't be killed. I dunno if this was tested very much prior to release.

Well, its not matter of tactics really, beyond choosing right pieces, reflexes play more important role. Still playable with one seccond ping thou.

Not that much like chess at all ... i would comapre it more to fighter.

Anyway, first nerfs calls will be to nerf monk pieces, i am sure, that Bane Signet on both aloe seed and Dolyak pieces is very powerfull.

My only problem so far is I've been getting lag spikes all night.
I should have taken screens of all the matches I just clicked on every skill so they could all go flashy, flashy for 10 seconds before I saw tons of numbers appear and I was dead.

RedFeather1975...i know this is off topic...but where in the world did you get that angry baby picture....i have cracked up everytime i seen it and can't help but wonder if it is your kid or someone you know.

ok @OP and others

does it specify if the pieces are rare or not? I don't have the game yet...**grrworkkkk** but i was wondering if there is any way to tell if something is common or rare and does rare=elite?

Yes, you have white, purple and gold labeled pieces, i would think that green prieces exist too.

White for early quests
Purple for masters quests
Gold drop from dungeon loot chests.
Greens were not reported yet.

Purples are seeingly more powerfull than whites.

My only concern is the elemental fight.

The two first fights were just normal.
The third is almost impossible.

I can't interrupt them at all, yet they interrupt me much more times than I interrupt them. I have a green led (less than 250 ping) I see the skill starting to cast, I mash the interrupt skill. And it gets casted before they finish casting.

They they interrupt my very next skill, whatever it is.
It's insane, the previous fights where nothing like that.
I can't even interrupt a 2 seconds cast skill! And it's not die to Polymock Block, unless they have a version that recharge in 3 seconds instead of the 12 we have.

I bet they just didn't make the last fights and they want to prevent people from getting there.

I absolutely love Polymock, I'm now 2/3 on master quests, I don't find it hard at all, most times I have to redo the match 1-2 times so that I know what to expect.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder if they're cheating the duration of Power Spike.

And I've done all the Polymock quests, so it's definitely doable. The final piece you get from beating Master Hoff is a Mirage Iboga, a gold mesmer piece. It's actually pretty nice, mainly because it has 5k life. After you register it, you can challenge the Polymock players again to tournament rules, which makes you use 1 white piece, a purple piece, and a gold piece. I tried it against the very first person you fight against in Polymock, and only got 10 Asura rep points. Either it's not worth playing more once you're done with the quests, or you have to play someone better like Hoff for more points.

10 asura points?

talk about a waste of time.

I think the mini-games need some kind of credible reward. you would need to do 10 matches and win them for 100 points! And I lag so bad it takes 15 minutes to get from ending one match to loading map, run to guy, load arena map, start match.

even 25 asura points would be much more worth it.

I did the first 2 quests and gots me a kappa and fire imp (kappa took me so many tries to beat him). Nice and all but if this is what I have to look forward to then I dunno :\

If there is no replayability then its a waste after you done all the quests.

and where can I farm asura points? The amount they ask for armor vending is way too much! i'm not even at 1k!

It seems pretty logical that beating the easiest polymock player gives you a measely reward. I'd like to know what the reward is for repeatedly beating a good player.

Yes, the purple pieces are more powerful than the whites. If you'll notice (atleast, with the kappa) you have 4k HP and (I think) +5 energy.
