After attempting to buy Eye of the North at EB which has an exclusive distribution agreement with Arena Net, I was informed that the game was delayed until Monday September 3rd at the earliest, applicable for all stores in Sydney and I can only assume the rest of the country also?

I blame EB entirely for this but Arena Net for the love of god don't go exclusive with EB ever again. We have warned you guys that EB are like this since GW came out and there are plenty of other major games retailers e.g. Big W, JB Hi Fi, Dick Smith Powerhouse etc to justify ditching exclusive agreements with a distributor who doesn't release on time. If they were risking losing sales to competitors on opening weekend something tells me their supply chain would have been a bit more on the ball.

I've told them this over and over and over and over...

Large proportions of Australians are no where near an EB, and can't get the game through retail at all.

Correct. It's delayed in Melbourne until 6 September.
I'm now going to link my account to a Master Account and buy with a Visa gift card.

I'm doing the same thing - guess what - they bill us in Pounds Stirling. The price just went up by 10 bucks.
