I came back to Guild Wars after 8 months!! and need to catch up

ok so i was once a VERY rich, experienced and good player. I payed GW since then 2 week that ti came out till 8 months or ago. I had 1 year and 6 months of play on gW with 1800+ hours.


But the reason i left was of 3 things:
1. My guild which was top 200 was departed and destroyed, all my firends left and it got kinda bad
2. 2 motnhs after guild departs ranking system for people comes, i didnt pay much attention to it, VERY STUPID IDEA. Den my otha guild iw as in departs...
Now i need a new guild, BUT GUESS WHHHAAATTTT?? No one wants a person that doesnt have rank 3. They dont care if u are rich, very good GvG/monk or anyhting else. ALL DEY CARED ABOUT WAS UR RANK. Such a stupid thing that ruined GW for me. No guild= NO FUN. Even though i played GW for 1800+ i was still a freakin noob WTF??
3. FACTIONS, it was horrible...

But now i come back becuz Eyes Of the North looks rly good. and i REALLY miss all the fun i had with GW.... You know i spend 1800+ on it lika nerd haha, fun days.

Now i need help, i dont have Nightfall...I jsut want to know what builds monks use, what has changed since i was gone, wat do people do now, and stuff liek that

90% of builds require you to have Nightfall. Almost every build has got Dismiss Condition in it, a lot of LoD or Zealous Benediction monks are popular now... And well, I don't get what you say in points 1,2 or 3. You just moan, right?
1800+ in 1 year? Damn, so I guess Im not a GW nerd after all.

actaully it was one year and 6 months and i shared it with my brother lol. Also i had a lot of friends playing whcih made it a lot more funner.
But i dont wnana get nightfall.... because if i do i cant get eyes of the north.

hmm. I'd stll get NF though, as many settled builds have NF skills, whereas GWEN-needing builds are still starting to pop up.

Buy NF, get all the skills, you need them. Simple as that kiddo.

And then get an english dictionary or take typing 101.

I'm not picking on you doglar. Get Nightfall, because as others have said there are a lot of skills you will need in GW:EN that are from Nightfall.

I was considering writing something positive after reading the title. After reading the first sentence, I decided against it.

Just FYI: Not all guilds care about rank, look for a guild that doesn't. And why would a guild care if you are rich?

Man I feel you, except Ive been gone from the scene for 2 years.

Also, rank existed LONG before you stoped playing the game (it only existed as a "title" with Factions though).

Are ectos still valued high?

if u can find any of old players who u used to play with, go and ask them. they might ahve enough experiecne to get u tino gvg guilds. most of the gvg guidls i know dont care about rank. they jsut care wheterh u suck or not.

If you can prove that you can interrupt healing touch with any melee interrrupt skill at the temple of balthazar, then I think you've passed the requirement for top guilds and can avoid having to show your rank.

Yeah... but they aren't 25k like in old days. They are hmm.. 4-5k now.

Well but the main reason I quited gw 5 months ago was beacuse anets nerfs was at las enough for me to stand more. My chars are in the game.

hey not all serious guilds claim rank, etc... my guys are on a break for the summer (as i understand as guild leader that people have real lives)... and from complete inactivity our GvG rank dropped below 1500... couple of GvG wins and we'll be back up, but even so, its the players in the guild, not the guild that get the rank and prove the point and a good sportsman would rather goto a nub guild and help them grow than goto an already high ranked guild and just be another player

I suggest you buy Nightfall, you would be missing a lot of good skills that are used all the time. Also, you could go to www.pvxbuilds.com or gw.gamependium.com/ and save some of the better templates.
