Solo 55 Glacial Gemstone Farming

mkay, this farm is a quick easy (usually taking just about an hour to accumulate the 35 needed for gauntlets) it's a 55 build meant to farm the Spectral vaettirs in jaga moraine near the portal to bjora marches, the greatest thing about this farm is this: once you run to your farm destination you can simply clear out the vaettirs portal into bjora marches then return to jaga moraine and run it all over again.

the run: simply leave out of sifhalla and follow the map i have provided to the farm spot (also marked on the map) very important: don't run to the farm area in your 55 suit, bring your pimp suit too, or you'll die when it comes to running past the wisps.

the farm: simply apply all of your bonds and maintain prot and mystic regen, reapplying soj whenever it recharges, you can pull just about all the vaettirs out there if you are ballsy enough, (this can get risky when you loose soj as they start to hit faster and you loose the regen for that enchantment provided by mystic) continue to use holy strike and somw to take out targets as they have ether feast and will heal for days if you do not supplement the dmg provided by soj.

don't panic: you get too ballsy and pull too much no worries, theres a shrine right there, simply take off your -50 cesta and go at it again, this actually makes it easier as the regen is the same no matter your hp situation and helps supplement for the dmg taken easier and faster as it is in smaller incriments.

btw: theres a build floating around that i was giving out in sifhalla d1 today, but i had a attribute point mess up, it had 5 in wind prayers from when i was running harriers haste for the run, i have recently removed harriers haste from the build and applied the additional points to smiting prayers to raise it to a lvl 15 in smiting

Although it's a nice build & great find, I'm a bit bothered by the fact that it takes a lot of time per Spectral to kill..

I messed around a little bit and came up with this;

Prot Spirit, Healing Breeze, Shield of Absoprtion, Shielding Hands, Spiteful Spirit, Blessed Aura, Balt. Aura, Essence Bond

It makes them drop like flies, you don't have to bother with taking them down one by one with Holy Strike & Mystic Wrath, as you can get SS on like 2-3 Spectrals before they die.

However ... the big problem I've had is energy management, with H.B lasting about half as long as Mystic Regen, and having to use SoA & Shield. Hands. quite often, energy is hard to maintain.
Maybe replace shielding hands by Blessed Signet, you should still be able to stay alive while SoA is down..

Why don't you go Mo/N with SV and Life Siphon to counter the degen? Way faster than SS...

mkay, well, i tried many different builds for my dervish only to find that the most sucessful build i can run out there as a dervish is the fow farming build D/Mo OgOjkurI7OtXoLzlAze/uyjDMA it goes quite a bit faster than the monk version...but one slip of the key and your toast, so don't forget to constatnly reapply vow and your other enchants.

My friend and I did a 3 man pretty quick (IMO). I ran a sin with deadly paradox and Beguiling Haze and Dunkoro. I simply dazed him constantly while my friend burned him to death. Not sure on the time of your run but we cleared area in less than 10 mins. The only downside is 50/50 stones and the hero taking your drops .

very nice, i like nothing better than to see what other peoples do, thats where i get my inspiration, and the 55 does it in like 5mins-ish, faster as you get better.

alas...gwen preview is complete until the 31st, as soon as that hits i'll be posting more guides on how to farm the new sets of gloves as i encounter them once the full version goes live

well good ideas with them. don't want to start another topic so i'll ad my 1$ here.
since i didn't want to move my monk to eotn (ranger is my main char) neither i wanted to do so with my ele, and still in need of these gloves i decided to give it a go with toucher.

works like charm.
you can tank up to 4 spectrals at the same time. Tho clearing them all takes a while (5-8 minutes that's slower than a slowpoke), it's steady, no energy probs (use OoB when at around 20 energy, maybe earlier even).

took me around 40 mins to get 35 glacial stones that i find quite good score.

I farmed the gemstones using a 55 Necro with Spoil Victor, basic 55 spells and Spoil Victor and Dark Pact. PS wasn't even needed once in the spawn.

Just cast SV on the target, HB on yourself, then Dark Pact and Dark Pact again as soon as it recharges.

any way to do it with an ele?

You sure didn't waste anytime did you and what are these stones worth and used for.Looks Good.

A Collector asks 35 for a Glacial Gloves, I've farmed mine and sold for 1.8k each. I would never buy them at this price anyway. And I'm even thinking that they'll lower the required stones to 5.

W/rt Build

Do NOT mass farm these. They are loot scaled. Killing the enemy 1 by 1 (even in just a big group) means MUCH more glacial stones drop.

55 with SV + Vampiric Gaze works fine. Got me my stones and every single enemy I killed dropped SOMETHING. I pulled groups of 4-5 at a time and SVd them.
