Need help Teamspeak

i need help i need to know how to use teamspeak because me and my friend would like to you use it for tomorrows event. so how do i start it up and how do i use it and do i have to pay to use it, thank's

it is used in guilds and not for general use yet

ok so i cant use it yet but what are the guild's are they clan's and where do they get it at to use it

If you have a strong connection and fast computer, or run your own server off your cable/dsl line, you can host your own TeamSpeak chat. Shouldn't bog you down too hard if it is only two people. The link for the client and the host are located here, TeamSpeak.

for teamspeak there is a bunch of info using SEARCH keyword teamspeak

You both need to download the client, and one of you needs to download the server. Then setup the server and have it run off one computer, and log in with the clients. I've never done it, but I know people who have. I am assuming the server is just basic and does not include the client with it, thus the server hoster must log in with a client themselves. There also may need to be a bit of port forwarding if the host is behind a router. Firewalls may or may not also need to be disabled. Its easy to run if you have broadband and a spare computer to act as the server. I have run one on my home network for several of the bwe.

just make sure if you use a router to set port forwarding to the ip of whichever system you have set up as a TS server.

then make sure you give your buddy your wan ip. the setup and instructions are easy and it has been very stable for me.

You will find a couple of guys that would let you use their servers for free. All you need to do is download the client.
