The only playable race in EoTN will be Human. Heroes races will include human, dwarf, Charr, Norn and Asura.
You will not be able to play different races until GW2 comes out. This has been stated many, many times.

Personally, I'm hoping for Tengu and Centaur. Gaile basically slapped us in the face and said that there is no chance of Dwarfs being playable.

I have absolutely NO idea why people are still under the impression that there will be new races to play as in this expansion... Never has any interview of any kind with Anet suggested this, and theres been many many threads aswell, all with a resounding: "Not until GW2"

In addition to humans, Guild Wars 2 will introduce several new playable races. The four new playable races announced so far are: Sylvari, Asura, Charr, Norn.
Either way, I don't even think I'd play as a dwarf were it an option. I'm still looking forward to what additional races they may be adding.^^
