It sounds nice on the website but as I recently got vista I simply can't get it. Paid for it, got the downloader, says I dont have an internet connection etc. Turn off the firewall, still cant download it. Website says to use the zip form to d/l directsong soundtracks, which is what I have recently done except there isnt a zip for GWEN soundtrack yet

"Wow! There are some seriously hardcore Guild Wars fans out there!! Even though we are in the middle of the night here in the USA, the data center called me tonight to tell me that server load has been at record levels. Thanks again everyone for showing your passion and commitment to the series!!

Sincerely,
Jeremy"

The Doomlore Flame song intro sounds like it came straight out of the old Batman cartoon from the 90's.

Also verified it's not in the download directory yet

If you find a work around let me know, and will include in my DirectSong Faq/Guide. I recently purged my Vista boot... wasn't using it so I'm unable to troubleshoot issue with it atm.

On a different note, it's weird feeling that this is the last DS pack for GW 1...

I downloaded the Music and I must say its extremely awesome! I would say his best work ever. The opening music Byond the Wall reminds me of Conan, with some mixes from other fantasy scores.

The Dark overtures from the Rising of the Destroyers could easily be music from some dark Aliens movie. I can see some serious awards for this work.

Overall just an amazing collection of music overall.

Found out some interesting info while digging for info on my DS Faq.

Here are some of his works: Company of Heroes, Total Annihilation, StarWars Knights of the old Republic, IceWin Dale, Never Winter Knights, Secret of Evermore (SquareSoft - Super Nintendo), Giant Citizen Kabuto, and World Series of Golf, Several of the Harrry Potter games, and a mystery game.

Omega X may of found a work around for you Seissor.
Make sure Adobe Flash is installed. Download 1st (don't do open on download) the Sorrow's Furnace (free) Music pack. Right Click "Run as Administrator" to install the Sorrow's Furnance pack. Then grab any other DS packs you own, and download and right click "Run as Administrator" for each one.

What format are those tracks on DirectSong?
Is it also possible to buy on CD?

@Sakura75: the music files are encoded in wma @ 320k. You can burn them on a cd using windows media player.

@Quest3d: The songs are played during the game, there are in better quality than the "original" ones.

That s too bad, cause WMA is lossly format. I prefer lossless format like FLAC.

If you can tell the difference between 320kbit/s and lossless, you must have golden ears and be making a fortune working for Dolby, Sennheiser, or the like.

WMA is much like 'vitrate variable' mp3 or Ogg.
You can encode without loss if you want.

Sountracks They have full quality, I assure you.
Additional ones are not so good, but still good.

Are they lossless then? I would only buy lossless.
