Pre-release box not in stores?

Surely the individual stores are responsible in some way for obtaining them? either somone has to ask 'central' to send them some, or order them from some kind of distributer. Ncsoft aren't just going to send them to every place that sells games and hope they get paid.
If noone who works at that store knows anything about it I wouldn't get my hopes up that they'll eventually get them.
If they didn't know about it several weeks before the release then they probably won't get them for a while yet, which could explain why many stores are still waiting for delivery

I called EB Games/Gamestop's 800 customer service number. The guy I talked to was saying that they hadn't received them yet, but they had been expecting to receive the pre-release packs between July 26th-August 1st.
*sigh* Believe I'm very annoyed by this too, and I told them I only give them my business because they're bundling the pre-release pack and the game together and saving me some money.
Still, they better have those pre-release packs before the Sneak Peek event or I'll be a very angry person with no choice but to buy a separate pre-release pack from the online store

Posted elsewhere, but I'll repeat it here: Amazon.co.uk, Gameplay.co.uk and hmv.co.uk are offering a free email code for the bonus pack, when you order the game from them - they're all charging around £17.99.
They all also have free shipping options, though obviously there's a (small) risk of not having the game when it goes live.

Oh yeah, I've been calling EB Games in Montreal and they all told me to call every day of the week, because they are expecting them by the end of the week. But one of the clerks said ""Sir, I'm not even sure if we are going to get them... we haven't heard from the distributor"

Nope not at the Gamestop nearest me (in New York City).
Also, the Gamestop clerk gave me an attitude when I asked if I could get the box (when it arrives) and not preorder seeing how it is a prerelease and not a preorder box. Basically he said that "you have to preorder" to get it.
I'm not preordering like last time with Nightfall, but I want the prerelease box for the Sneak Peek Weekend. There's no incentive when there's no Collector's edition.

lol, that War Craft part reminded me of the store clerk at my local GameStop when I asked him if they have the GW:EotN pre-release pack yet, his response was "Gears of War came out like a year ago...." I was like no, I said Guild Wars!

I pre-ordered at GameStop and they said they would call when the pre-release box arrived. I was also told to try calling in the morning to speak with the manager since he's apparently the only guy who works there who knows anything about PC games.
