A Guild Wars Eye of the North Intro Screensaver by Xenrath for your desktop.

This will mark the completion of the collection from me (check out GWG's Download section to get the rest!) as I'm not really around a whole lot anymore and don't have the time it's unlikely any more will follow, if Anet ever decide to make any more login panoramas.

As with previous screensavers it's about 10 minutes long, bit more tricky because of all the snow and moving background just about everywhere

The full rotation takes about 10 minutes. The video was recorded at full detail, with 4x Anti Aliasing. You might need a reasonably fast machine to enjoy at its best, not too sure. For reference, my computer at the time of this post has Windows XP, Pentium 4 3ghz, 1Gb memory, ATI Radeon X800.

DOWNLOAD: Guild Wars EOTN Login/Panorama Screensaver, High Quality. 64.6mb, self installer (Xvid codec required)
- Download from FileFront
- Download from GW Guru

  • Run the Screensaver installer, this should bring up the Display Properties after installing (if it doesn't just bring it up yourself.)
  • Select "GWEN Panorama" screensaver, and adjust the settings to suit. From here you can add your own music playlist, change the size of the video etc.
  • That's it! Preview it, or let it fire up like a normal screensaver.
  • If you get a black screen, you probably need the Xvid codec. Get it from here http://www.koepi.org/xvid.shtml The "latest stable binary" near the top.
  • To uninstall, you can remove it from Add/Remove programs or the Start menu under Programs.

----------------------

For those who like the intro music, here it is. 11mb, 12 minutes - not the highest quality settings so it shouldn't interfere with any music CD plans Anet/NCsoft might have.

DOWNLOAD: Eye of the North Intro Music mp3
- Download from FileFront
- Download from GW Guru

You can add that to the playlist of the screensaver and it will be more or less like the ingame intro then, just lower quality.

The older ones can be downloaded from GWG downloads:

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/downloads-id274.php

As well as my filefront space (also have a bunch of videos and other things there)

http://hosted.filefront.com/xenrath

(this GWEN one hopefully Inde can host it up on GWG soon)

If anyone wants to add mirrors of the rest please feel free.

* It seems Koepi's site has gone, Xvid codec can be obtained from here instead:

Xenrath, thanks for the login screen music. I was shocked when they announced no Collector's edition. I don't know how else to get the music in CD form.

Once it's released on DirectSong you can buy and download the soundtrack, and the DRM allows you to burn a copy. It even comes with a nice little cover insert you can print out for a CD case.

PRAISE XENRATH FOR HIS AMAZING WORK AGAIN!!!

Sorry. But the GW:EN screen is absolutely amazing. It and the Factions screens are the only ones I stared at and marveled at for hours (okay maybe not HOURS) on end upon their initial release.

I joined GW during the Prophecies screen, but I never found it that special. Actually I did, but not worthy of staring at for "hours" on end.

Just wanted to thank you for this - rather, for your Factions version, which I'm actually using (it looks and sounds great!) I wish I could mod the game itself to revert to using the Factions pan and music.

http://www.koepi.org/xvid.shtml is coming up dead for me btw; I found the codec at http://www.xvid.org/Downloads.15.0.html

Hmm, two years ago - the filefront ones have certainly lapsed and the Guru ones have disappeared into the ether.

You'll just have to hope that some kind soul has it on their HDD still.

Would someone still have it? I would love to live out the last year(s) of GW1 with nostalgic memories of login screens (no sarcasm). Sorry to dig this thread from the grave but it would be helpful.
