so i downloaded this .tpf from http://gw.zweistein.cz/Cantha_Cartography.tpf
and was told i can somehow put it INTO GW, and my cantha map will be red in places i did not explore....i justdunno HOW to put it in GW...help anyone?

It won't work the way you think it will. I will just say this ahead of time. It will turn areas that you haven't explored red - yes. But when it says unexplored, it means EVERYTHING you haven't explored - even places that aren't even possible to explore - meaning the mod as a whole lacks value. I recommend either using Tiyuri's mod or using my newly created mod (still awaiting approval on this site but its available on GWO right now).

is it safe to say that the mods listed here ( http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide...-game_graphics ) have been "approved" by teh community and do not contain trojans or whatever that will steal passwords?
i'm not familiar with tpf files and dont know if they executables or what? I'd REALLY like to get my grandmaster Cart title and would like to get some help from these mapping mods, but not at the risk of having my account messed with.
