What bow to attach a vampiric string to>?

I assume shortbow would be better because of the higher refire rate? What bows do you guys upgrade to vamp please.

whatever fits your build really. if you use RtW, vamps work nice on flatbows

hornbow, recurve, flatbow. The first 2 for spiking (recurve with nightmare weapon, hornbow otherwise), the last because you only use a flatbow when you're basically guaranteed to hit for whatever reason anyway (rtw, a stationary target, etc) and it's the best dps increase. Shortbows I only use with CG and I'm more likely to run zealous with that over vamp, ever since expertise stopped working with non-ranger stances CG has has to take energy wherever it can get it.
