Question about VwK farming

Could I farm with a R/Rt using VwK? How would a skill set look? I'd really rather use my Ranger than my Warrior

Lightning Reflexes
Whirling Defense
Throw Dirt

Serpents Quickness
Troll Unguent

Vengeful was Khanhei
Vengeful Weapon

First three could be used to prevent most damage when VwK is recharging. Serpent's is to make VwK recharge faster. Troll Unguent is for extra healing (duh). VwK is what the build is based around, damages attackers and heals you. Vengeful Weapon is just a little extra damage.

Please help me out

I assume you're farming HM, since NM isn't worth it.
No. 75% isn't enough when every hit takes out 150 hp chunks.
VwK triggers when you're hit, not attacked. You can't rotate stances and avoid being hit, because it's counter-productive.
It also doesn't negate dmg, only drains some life back. What good is it if you're getting hit for 80 and draining 35? You're still going to die.

As a Ranger, VwK build only work against caster type enemies, and you MUST be out of their spell cast range in order for the build to be effective.

On the other hand if you so wish to mass aggro farm.
This build for Kappa(ONLY KAPPA) works for HM, just add in that +2 attribute Glyph and you can farm them with ease

Do you know any good places for farming casters?
How do you keep them out of spellcasting range?

It may be possible to farm UW Smites for ectos with a R/Rt. I was goin to come up with a UW build using VwK for ranger, as you can you use Quickening Zephyr and Serpent's Quickness to keep VwK up until everything is dead. Ill give it a try later, and I will let you know if it works out.

And you won't beable to farm anything in hardmode with Ranger using VwK. Too much damage being done like mentioned.
