Additional Slot in GWEN PLZ?

Since GW Eye of the North is still not on the market and I've read that there will be no slots added for this expansion I wonder whether we can make a petition that ANet add at least 1 slot.
Currently on my account with 3 chapters I can to make 9 characters. That means I can only make 9 out of the 10 possible different professions (without deleting and making a new character).
I have no credit card and don't see acquiring one in near future, so I can't buy from the online store.
As of now there is no other possibility of acquiring new slots other than the online store (where a credit card is necessary). Other possibilities such as Paypal I believe is not possible at the moment also.

Surely I am not the only one who would love to enjoy having all 10 professions on their account (at the specific time, thus making it possible to work on titles granting me "extra's" for GW). The next expansion GWEN would be a great opportunity for ANet to make it possible for many of us who can't make all 10 different proefessions.
So Please ANet reconsider adding slots for the next expansion.

PS: to Mods if I haven't posted this on the right category kindly move it.
Thanks in advance.

We've already nagged about and the word on the streets is that its not gonna happen.

Gaile Chat - April 27th for more details
(link inside the link above)

BUT - having said that - i am pretty sure most players would agree that it would be superb!
Two thumbs up for bitching about it again!

Umm, why would you want another character slot from an expansion with no character creation? you can only play GW:EN content with characters that have finished one of the chapters

+1 Character slot = one more class to take through <insert chapter> and GW:EN, which keeps people busy some more in between GW:EN and GW2. Which means people will be less likely to switch to another MMO in the time between keeping them to play GW. Which means more profit at GW2's release.

Fair enough, I personally can't bring myself to take more that a few characters throught eh same content over and over again... hell, I've even deleted three of my 5 characters because the current content was too much to redo over and over, but if others can do it, fair play to you

1 more character slot for GWEN = 1 more storage character, or a pre character, etc.

I would quite alike another slot tbh...

You can use debit cards too you know, not just credit cards. I don't own a credit card.

The expansion introduces no new classes, so I don't see any reason to offer more character slots with it. Buying new characters slots is a reasonable way for ANet to fund GW since we don't pay a subscription.

It is possible to get a Paypal MasterCard debit card (costs a short fee when you receive money and only when you receive money) that you can use to access your PayPal balance. You could use that in the online store.

I can certainly see both sides to the arguement here. The expansion slot is a $10 value two of which were included in NF and Factions each. A lot of people might just be like me in the regard that they like to be able to play every different character class if for nothing else to see what skills are ones to look out for on foes and how they work.

Also with NF and the heroes it is nice to be able to put elites in there on any hero, and have a full set of skills to choose from. I don't have a sin for instance, so I tend never to use Zenmai since she lacks any primary elite skills. I know you can get them with whatever your 2ndary is, but I just don't bother very often.

I can also see the point that playing everything all over for the 10th time can get kinda old. And if it's true that no character can gain access unless they've beaten a game that makes the new slot point back to the previous games and not focus on the brand new product they're putting out.

Maybe they could offer a discounted price at the store for one slot to those that have purchased GW:EN.

I really don't want to have an empty slot that would make me feel obliged to create another char to take through. I'll be busy enough as it is, thank you.

I have to agree with Miss Persephone, they can always use the cash.
And it's not like they are rapping us with a subscription fee.

Why people would want to pay for something if we can get ANet to give it to us for free is beyond me.

Didn't you get the memo?
A.net are our best friends!
Bosom buddies even!
And we should take care of them like we do with our other friends!
Make sure nothing bad happens to them and that they earn as much money as possible!
Even if it is (or especially if its) at our expense!

But seriously - i have been asking myself the same question on many occasions on both forums and i always fail to come up with a reasonable answer.
I guess it comes from my education. You know - being taught that 4+4 equals 8!

Well, sit back and look at the price they will charge for the expansion "GW:EN". If it's only 10 bux less than a regular chapter, then they better include at least one new character slot if not TWO.

Now take a look at why they said the price for the new expansion is "cheaper" than a regular release. Not standalone, and no new playable classes. This equals a whole lot less work for them.

For 10 bux less (or whatever the price reduction), and half the effort in creating the content, we should be getting at the very least one or two more character slots.

Value for the money, and value for those that support your product.

....as a side note, I've purchased more character slots than some of you have spent on the game itself. It's not about supporting the folks at Anet and NCsoft. It's about value.

I dont see how having non-standalone and having no new playable classes means less work?

They are dealing with 10 classes. And they have to provide content for characters over level 20. Thats armor, weapons, & skills for 10 classes, and missions, quests, and end game content to justify the purchase.

Thats not less work, its just less newbie tutorials.

oh btw upier: 1 doesnt even equal 1.
