55ing isn't affected, warrior and elementalist solo builds are kinda battered though. The most relevent ones

editrobably an over-reaction at least in part, mantra+kinetic+stoneflesh is plenty for most ele farms and there's always the option of running AoTL if needed, while many warrior farms e.g. beach can be farmed with only dolyak signet for AL if using live vicariously. Actually DoA tanking etc may be more affected.

i've seen it and i'm quite upset....
the change of stoneflesh aura doesn`t really affect any farming build.
But the change to RS Buffs are really stupid.
So it seems i can say goodbye to a few of my mesmer builds ....

The update is NOT permanent, so I wouldn't throw out those builds yet. After they see their mistakes they will probably fix this.

pretty sure the armor cap isn't gonna be permanent. It just kills solo farming as a W/anything

People will find a way around these nerfs...I've been using a particular build for about a year and a half (I made it right after the very first AoE scatter nerf hit in late 2005). My build is completely unaffected by this upcoming nerf...most likely because I've never posted it (and never will), so its not widely used.

To avoid continued nerfs, people should keep their builds secret so they dont get over-used, which leads to nerfing.

The nerfs for the PvP community seriously affects the PvE community so i hope they decide not to cap the armor. Think of the farmers and HM we are players too, we payed for the game too.

I love how ppl assume that if they dont share it, it wont get nerfed.

so does the armor cap mean skills like dolyak sig, watch yourself, physical resistance cant combine and raise your armor more than +25?

The armour cap means that skills cannot stack to give more than +25 armour. So, if you have a +20 Watch Yourself! and a +28 Dolyak Signet, using both together would only net you +25 armour. However, individual skills can go above this cap - if you had a +64 Kinetic Armor, you'd get the full benefit from it.

Oh lovely lets whip out the nerf cannon, people wonder why I deleted my warrior for a ranger, if they do decide to make the armor nerf lasting then it will just re-enforce my reasons.

@The.D0pefish: as far as i see the mesmer builds are NOT affected by this update as you only use 1 armor buff which can be used at it's full effect like before..

WYS(20) + Dolyak(28) = 28 AL
WYS(15) + Dolyak(15) = 25 AL
WYS(20) + Dolyak (28) + Feigned (80) = 80 AL

they only STACK up to 25.. every skill that exceeds +25 will provide it's full potential (Feigned Neutrality's +80 for example) and the skill with the highest AL is the one that "counts"

If that were true there wouldn't be exceptions to loot scaling. There's like 10 more examples(like Prot Spirit not being nefed to "other allies" even after 55 became a fad), but that really drives the nail home.

I wouldnt put too much faith in anet fixing mistakes.... they have a bad track record in that area. but i guess they would have to acknowledge that it was indeed a mistake first

2. A farming skill NOT being nerfed is hardly an argument that anet doesn't nerf farming skills (again usually originating in pvp play)

3. Loot scaling was originally a huge anti-farm measure, then the gigantic outrage resulted in it being mostly reverted back to original. That it's there in any form is anti-farming.

Wow I dont understand why people get so upset over these things. Its actually kinda comical to come here and read all the people complaining over the most trivial things. So what! Big deal they changed a skill... do some research and come up with a better build!
