Farming questions

Hi! I ve got some questions please.
1:
Does size of the party make drop rate up? (with hench)
2:
If so, if I farm with henchies but i let them far of me when I kill the boss, will they take the drop? or not?(or if they are dead)

1) Yes
2) No (They will only take gold coins) They must be out of radar for all the items drops to be yours. Dead in radar range doesn't work. (Gold coins will still be shared)

actually, the henchies do take their share of loot even if they're out of radar. Gaile confirmed this before. it happened after the loot scaling thingy. I can't find Gaile's comment on that but she said something like: the mob will be thinking 'why should we give loot to this guy who acts hero and solo while his henchies all take a stroll far far away?' or something like that. so...yea...henchies do take their share of loot even when they're out of radar range. however that does not apply to those items exempted from loot scaling though (gold items, greens, ectos, etc)

Thank you both for your answers. So if I'd like to farm green/gold I can take henchies but out of my range.
