D/x IDS Farm

I remember a thread about a D/something farming ids a while back, but was fairly complicated to use, this is what I found works.

I found this build on accident actually, reading today's update notes about the IDS no longer being affected by scaling made me want to get one, So I loaded up on henchmen and heros and fought to the cave. once there, The heros and henchmen were killed, but I found my build to work extremely well solo. And my first run did benefit from it.

The Atts + Skills:


Equipment:
Full windwalker armor, a vigor(i just use a minor), and I used one rune of restoration for the fight up there.
Weapon: I use a 15^50 20/20 hp+23 scythe, though you may want one of enchanting instead of fortitude.

Also, PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NORMAL MODE

Simply fight your way to the cave, and send your henchmen and heros out of range. Put on faithful intervention if you dont have it on already, followed by regeneration, mystic vigor, and heart of fury. target the nearest imp, and put on vow of silence right before you get to it. move around a bit, ideally you should have 2-3 imps grouped together for maximum health gain from vigor.

Your casting order dosent matter after this, I was rarely interrupted by maelstom, just keep regen and vigor up at all times, vow will reduce damage taken a lot. You may want to sub out zealous renewal if you want to try to run up to the cave solo.

Yeah, ima try swapping zealous renewal for pious haste later, I would still rather take henchmen though, since I had trouble killing a troll that spawned at the entrance.

u must be extremely lucky to get a gold in NM i think the chances are so slim its not worth the time to try to farm it anymore, at least in NM, unless u guys can think of a build for HM

to slow. you cant fight your way there and expect to make a profit.

I wasnt after a profit anyway, I just wanted the sword. With it being near impossible to get to in hard mode, and low drops in normal mode, its not really worth farming for money anyway.

Silly question but doesn't vow make it difficult to keep spells on you and maelstrom off you?

The problem isnt a build for HM, W/Mo regenerator works just fine when moving around some attributes. Its getting there... its a nightmare

works well for me just activate all enchs to run there and if u see the avicara necros just activate all enchs and cast armor of earth at least so they remove that ench!

I'm sorry to say this, but this build seems a little too similar to the build posted here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ht=Dervish+IDS

This build is also able to do the run there by itself, not relying on henches. Thereby cutting considerable time from the run.
