Sentry's > Brawlers if your build allows you to be stanced roughly 75% of the time or more. Especially considering the hexes that hurt your ability to attack (i.e. slow). If you don't use many stances, Brawlers is the way to go!
Sentry/Brawler > Survivor in general PvE. An additional 10 armor gives a damage reduction of 12.5%, which after 280 damage you have saved 35 health. As damage recieved increases above 280, the utility increases proportionally. This is compounded when healing is factored in, which allows one to take a total amount of damage at very high levels. The very notable exception to this is degen. However, at 4 pips of degen you will make 4.3 seconds difference.
Finally, Sentry/Brawler > Radiant. +7 energy can be nice, but consider that it will equate to spamming a skill one additional time through the course of an entire fight. Unless, of course, you allow your energy to fully regen before spamming again, in which case I wonder if you really needed that bonus energy.

Definitely not. Radiant > anything for PvE, except on special occasions. 10 extra armor? Come now, I get +24 from Watch Yourself or Stand Your Ground.
Radiant allows you to use energy skills in a burst when you need to use them, very good for energy attacks while you wait for Dragon Slash to load up or something. Also, if you get dp'd, the warrior's normal 20 energy shrinks to quite little.

Why no love for Knight's?
My warrior is only level 17 and just caught a boat to the Canthan mainland, so I don't have a real feel for the types and packet sizes typical for damage. But if +10 AL is a slightly >10% reduction to damage, then unless physical, armor-respecting damage typically comes in packet sizes over 30, Knight's would seem very competitive.

Also, if you get dp'd, the warrior's normal 20 energy shrinks to quite little. It's easy to come up with a pve build that uses very little energy. Assuming you're using a sword/axe + ias + zealous, you can literally spam Power Attack and lose almost no energy at all. In pvp, enemies won't stand there and beat on them. You have to be specific in what energy skills you're using cause my warrior can function perfectly without it.

My most used set has Sentinel's.
I have a suit with radiant for build flexibility.
If ANet pulled their collective fingers out and lowered insignia prices to a fixed level of 100g, I'd constantly be changing insignias to best suit whatever build I chose to run.
Oh, and obviously I have gloves with Stonefist.

I am using my pve warrior in pvp, accordly use radiant insignias everywhen (i am too lazy and without money for buying new armor sets)... for KD hammer warr (or shock axe) i use stoneskin. I dont use survivor, cause i dont need HPs so much (frenzy + prot. spirit on VoD in GB ftw!!)... Sup Vigor is good...
