Rotscale + Hard Mode = Impossible

Me and a guildy who consider ourselves very experienced in PVE cannot kill that bastard. Once we got everyone around him at the cost of about 45% DP, but 8vs1 still was no match. Yes, we started from ToA. PLEEEEEEEASE help if you can.

EDIT: Balanced team: tank, nuker, prot + healer, two mes, one SS

Protective spirit helps me, the tank, stay alive, but it still takes all the effort of both monks just to keep ME alive let alone the rest of the group. After I have complete aggro and am getting raped, party runs up and gets targeted, or I die and they get targeted.

I'm sorry, but I don't think an eight second lasting spell will help much.

About to try again with SV necro and Broadhead ranger, three nukers, and I'm tanking again. I don't think our monks are too perfect for this, neither me nor my guildy have had much bonding experience.

Bring Protective Spirit.

Spirit Bond is handy (occasionally).

doesn't he strip enchants?

Desecrate Enchantments is what he uses. I dunno if he strips in hard mode.

get 2 choking gas on him..... he won't be able to do shit.

The SS can be replaced with some defense if you have bad monks...

I know it's a factions skill, bt maybe "Shelter" would help? Gives everyone the same effects of Prot Spirit.

2 monks
2 degen and interrupt

Except for the rit, no enchants on anyone, not even fire attunement.

Have you people suggesting builds ever even went against Rotscale?
Common, even in normal mode?

Enchantments is one of the last things you want to bring against rotscale, he will simply eat you alive because you have em.

Shelter dies way too fast and takes way too long to recharge.

Before even nuking you have to get thru Rotscales army which use ( almost ) ever lasting Inciendary Arrows,so good luck getting those nukes off with 6 eles.

I would dump the mesmers, what were they running?Shutdown? don't think its worth it, I think the normal rotscale group should work with some adjustments,but i really don't know, i tried it too a few days ago , just for fun, we simply got owned :|

Well if you got owned, maybe you should try one of the builds that have been suggested, rather than saying they won't work. Obviously your build didn't either.

This is PvE we're talking about...it isn't rocket science. You just need 1 guy to take the aggro, and then kill everything. Very basic stuff.

Prot spirit >> Rotscale.

and RT lord with Shelter + Shadowsong + Dissonance goes long way to shuting his insane damage down.

Some how we cleared the area.

Uh i think it was zb monk, sod monk, signet smite/hex monk, fire, mm, balthazar dervish, curses of some kind, I believe a broadhead arrow, oh and prot spirit.
