The campaign will be set in Tyria two hundred and fifty years into the future from the original campaign.
What will happend between this time, ok our chars will be dead and burried, but what will tyria be like. will we have same towns and out posts? i hope not because that will mean the gw world we know now will stay the same, but only with other enemies.
what happends between Eye of the North and GW2

Also, go back 250 years and see if the town you live in is the same.

I know its just speculation, but still interesting
I am thinking something like this
Balthazar, Dwayna, Grenth, lyssa and melandru will have a big war vs Abaddon, Dhuum, Menzies and Great Destroyer. Our chars will fight in this war and the bad guys win and we die and the gods of tyria are doomed in some other dimension, or something that looks like what happened with abaddon or shiro.
But b4 that happened the gods gave the Heroes of Ascalon who also fight in this war special powers, or make them some kind of gods.
For the people who not know who the heroes of ascalon are:
The Heroes of Ascalon is a group of adventurers who are the main characters of the Lore of Guildwars (in both the website and the game manual). The name Heroes of Ascalon is not ascribed by ArenaNet nor is it used in-game, it is a label formed by the wiki to refer to them. They are:
• Devona the Warrior,
• Cynn the Elementalist,
• Aidan the Ranger,
• Mhenlo the Monk,
• Eve the Necromancer.
Some info about the gods of tyria
The Gods of Tyria are the five gods who in the theology of humans and other advanced races created the world of Tyria. They are:
• Balthazar: God of war and fire
• Dwayna: Goddess of life and air
• Grenth: God of death and ice, defeated Dhuum to obtain this position
• Lyssa: Twin goddess of beauty and illusion.
• Melandru: Goddess of nature and earth
They are also known as the "Old Gods" as they left the world of Tyria about a thousand years ago.
The History of the Old Gods in Tyria
According to legend, the Old Gods lived on Tyria while creating it. They made their homes in the city of Arah in the area known as Orr. It is implied that Dhuum was God of Death at this time, but was overthrown by Grenth sometime later.
In the year 1 BE, the Old Gods represented by Abaddon gifted all sentient races with the gift of magic, but it was abused as each race tried to use this gift to destroy the other. After a plea from King Doric, the Gods sealed away the power to control all of magic in the Bloodstones and shortly after Abaddon attempted to usurp control of Tyria from the other gods. After his defeat they left Tyria for good and went into the Rift in an event known as the Exodus of the Gods.
If you wanna know more about the gods, check wiki, its very interesting
but 5 gods, 5 heroes of ascalon? could i be right?

The gods don't fight our wars for us. That's the lesson learnt in Nightfall. It's our world and our heroes are the defenders.
Besides we don't even know what the Great Destroyer actually is. This thread is pretty pointless when we don't even know what happens in GW:EN. How can we speculate what happens after?

I am just saying that i think the gods we know now will not be there in GW 2,
and that there will be a battle of the gods.
an with GW:EN i think the great destroyer, is a god or will become a sort of a god, just got a feeling that it has something to do with the 5 bloodstones, i know more speculation

But Lyssa would be a mesmer, and none of the heroes are mesmers.
Besides your theory is flawed, since it were not the 5 gods that created Tyria, it was 6, including Abaddon.
Abaddon was the god that actually gave the mortal races the magical powers. The gods realized their error, when they began fighting another for these powers. Abaddon disagreed and didnt want the power taken away from the mortals. So they fought and locked Abaddon up in the basement. The power was taken from the mortals, so that they can not harness it all anymore. It was sealed in the Bloodstones.
Abaddon died at the end of NF, even more, his power has been stripped away from him and he nothing more then an empty shell. It is very unlikely he will return in GW2. Menzies is very likely the same as the Great Destroyer, as Balthazar is the Great Dwarf.
Anyway: what happens in those 250 years before GW2?
It is already known that the human race is shrinking in power. Ascalon is totally taken over by the Charr. That is about as much that can be said.

And like Onarik said - The gods dont fight our wars and the world of Tyria belongs to the mortals now...not them.

I think these types of threads are best made after we know the outcome of EotN really.

I think the gods powers are fading away. That is the reason why they didnt interfere in recent events, they actually couldnt. Maybe the gods will be replaced in this time or something. It is not as if it didnt happen before, since all gods were not the first, even Abbadon succeeded someone before him, just like Grenth and Dhuum. Look in the Apostate quest for proof.

Many possible reasons why guild wars gods not directly help Tyria.
- Can be damaged (Abaddon is good example from Guild Wars).
- Their actual power source is Bloodstones to get more power for use.
- They sealed two worlds from eachother with Bloodstones what not allow so powerful beings to free travel. Also Grenth is bit opposite god compared to Dwayna.

Well, it's hard to say something correct about what will be in GW:EN and GW 2... All I can imagine is that something will happen to the human race. I think this because of:
-the next enemy's name, the Great Destroyer;
-it seems there will be no selectable human race in GW 2, and the world will be the same;
-official site says clearly that something huge will change in tyria after the next campaign GW:EN
Who knows... will we all get wiped out?

I apologize for my scepticism but relatively 250 years is not that much,
i think that Ascalon will have by then almost pushed back the Charr and start another Guild War with Kryta, messengers from both sides will be sent to the Istanis, Kurzicks, Luxons, Vabbians, they'll have to choose whom they support and EVEN the Gods will have to pick a side. This war will eventually perhaps lead to Ragnarok.

I'm guessing on more of a war between the races with the players being outcasts in the storyline to their chosen race.
