Mini Koss - No weapons?

In November 2006 I bought a Mini Varesh and was surprised to see she did not carry the Scyth we almost always saw her carry in game. I started a thread and mentioned that I felt she should have one. Apparently Gaile and company agreed. Gaile replied within the thread and in a short time Varesh had her scythe.

Now that Koss has been released as a Mini, I am asking again: Why doesn't he have a weapon and shield?

I have only seen him in town. Unless you tell me that when he is taken out of inventory outside of town he has a weapon and a shield I find it kind of funny. Rurik has his FDS and shield, Shiro his swords, etc. etc.

Poor little guy looks defenseless running around without his weapons.


I like the mini people like Rurik, Shiro etc. but I really think they look better with weapons,........Gaile, any comment this time???

Haha, maybe Anet forgot to put it on again? Or maybe Koss Zergrush Jenkins is so awesome that he does more dmg when he is barehand.

Well, Koss is a hero, so he could have numerous weapons. I guess they decided to not give him any weapons instead of deciding which to give him.

the starter weapons would be the best to give him I guess.

In evey cinematic in the game that Koss is involved in, he is always carrying his starter weapons for me, not the equipment I have on him so that should be easy enough to do. Give him some play toys please Anet.

Yeah, the other day I saw a mini-Asura get upset and claw the nose of a poor mini-Koss to shreds! It was tragic.

Give the little guy a sword and shield so he can stand up to those Asura bullies!

I was going to say that the weapons on both Rurik and Shiro are fixed to the model (Rurik always has an FDS and Crude Shield and Shire always has his set of special swords) which isn't the case for Koss or Varesh (both can have different weapons), but you have a point there, at least as far as Koss is concerned.

Starter equipment?

Forget it!

Koss should be equipped as I have him (though don't use him) at all times: Oni Blade and Bladed Shield. I swear I have yet to find a more awesome combination for him (especially with his 1st-level upgraded armour)....
Ok... so with default armour it might not look QUITE as cool....

But Koss with upgraded armour needs his Oni Blade and Bladed Shield... It TOTALLY suits him. ^_^

The Mini pets of people disturb me, and I wish they'd stop making them. o.O

You realize he'd have a machete and a paragon tribal shield, so he could very well be better off empty handed.

I think he should really have his starter weapons because there are a thousand and one combinations of weapons and shields he could carry.

Upgraded Armour, Oni Blade and Bladed Shield > Starter gear.

Gime him a FDS in one hand and IDS in the other hand and be done with. Oh! put mending aura on him as well for extra l33tness.

I would be surprised if ArenaNet does not correct the oversight on Mini-Koss weapons. Be patient.

I resent the IDS being grouped with the FDS. IDS is teh awesome.
Just let him dual-wield FDS..... or FDS and ... whatever shield Nubrick uses...

Heket has their axe, Lich doesn't have a weapon too so I wonder if he'll get his staff too? Seen like Koss isn't the only minis missing a weapon.

Mini pet's weapon is so important that ANet has to make an update for them but HA's Kill Count problem is so trivial that ANet has to ignore it for months ='(

Poor little Koss... please give him a fds and a shield so he can walk around and look pretttttah!

Whats this?! A thread on mini-pets Gaile hasn't instantly commented in??? She must be preparing a reply... chances she's actually commenting on something useful are pretty slim.

I can't see them giving the Lich the Staff. It's a stupid reason, but it may completely give the storyline away to some people who have only recently bought Prophecies.

Not sure if i'd like Koss with his starter weapons. Rurik's FDS was pretty symbolic. Koss' mean practically nothing, looked crap too.
