welp.. im broke

well..

all of my cash was in ecto/shards. thanks to this wonderful new update, looks like neither of those are worth spitting on (i have 250 shards and 150 ecto that NO ONE will buy). glad to see that only the people playing this game since it came out are the ones being rewarded. also, i find it funny that those are also the people with no sympathy, or general care for the middle and lower-class tiers of gws community play. i think i might go back to playing ps3 and finishing some old single-player games till gws2 comes out.. pathetic

Wont the Rare Material Trader buy that from you? What's the problem?

You know who will buy your Ecto and Shards? The Rare Material Trader and Merchant.

And technically you are not broke, you have those quantities of Shards and Ectos... set your price low enough and people will buy.

correct me if i am wrong but what exactly has changed? The chance of getting an ecto is the same now as it was before isn't it? The way i see it you have the same chance at getting an ecto in the UW (i think) as before the update. The only thing that has changed is the amount of loot (normal white/blue/purple) drops. Rares, green, Rare materials...still drop with the same regularity don't they?


EDIT... It really bothers me that you consider yourself broke and or poor/middle class. I mean come off it dude you have 1.2 million in ectos and 625k in shards....thats nearly 2 million gold....get a clue as to who a normal player is....its definetly not you, you are one of the elite that you speak of.

Want to sell those things to real people? Go to ToA, Chanrty of Secrets, or senji's corner and you'll find plenty of buyers.

As for converting all your gold into ectos and shards, you gambled on what the market for those things would do. Ahh well, as the saying goes, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

150 Ecto = broke?

I'm at 40K, it's not the most money I've had, but it's close.

I think the availability of the access scroll may also have played some role in what he's complaining about.

Though I'd have to say, if you did have literally all your money invested in ectos/shards- you should know that material speculation can be risky. You can't blame them for making a change no one could've guessed, you should've been a bit more conservative than to go all in or not cashing out sooner if you actually farmed them.

Perfect example of greed.....U really think people are going to feel sorry for u, with a 150 ecto..... come on.....I will take a little pity for u hand them to me i will sell them at trader for u .....ok

Ecto market fluctuates quite often. However, for the last several months prices have been uncharacteristically stable. But whenever a major change, or a perceived major change, occurs prices either nose-dive or climb quickly. In this case of perceived change prices have crashed. My advice is to sit on your stash and wait it out, prices will likely go back up. Selling lower then what you bought at is not a wise move unless you believe the prices will drop even more and not rise again.

Sorry to tell you, but you are in the elite 1% of the GW population with that many shards and ecto. You are not poor. Pointless rant thread...

Joking aside, people still buy ecto's and shards perhaps youre prices are to high...

Just looked at trader, and if he sold them there then he would get 1.2 million, at the momment, seems a bit overdramatic to say skint, I only have 260k at the moment in gold, and i have a number of rare etc etc, but i wouldnt think anywhere near that! I agree with rest person is greedy and whining, I have stored a lot of stuff in items to keep gold in some other form but I'm not bothered about the reduction in price of some of them
