Free treasures bad luck

I done 8 free treasure runs http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Treasure Yesterday and get only purple items and small amound of gold. Althougt party mate get gold and sapphire.
I just wonder is there treasures linked with HM ? Becouse before treasure run I cleared one teritory in HM, but party mate never go in HM.

How many times can you re-open them. I've already opened them all with one character. Will I be able to do the run again? Some tme later perhaps?

The more frequently you open treasures, the more likely you will get a purple.

I like to wait at least 2-3 months since I opened them the last time and thus am less likely to get purples.

They seem to reset monthly, but....

1. It's character-based not account. Some months some of your characters will not have them reset.

2. Gaile has stated that after opening 3-4 in the same month, the quality will drop. So, she recommends that you start with the one you can reach farthest into the game. This ensures that you will get the better drops, if available to that character.

My experience since this started:

First time - all characters
Second time - all but one character
Third time - One character only
Fourth time - no characters reset

I've actually found this to be true as well. With one of my chars I have opened the chests probly about 4 times now and last time I did the runs, I had maybe ONE gold and all the rest were purples. They seem to decrease the more times you open them...??

I have also opened those treasure chests thrice using only one character and the drops are always gold items and a few thousand gold. However, never had any gems yet.

I usually wait 6-8 weeks, usually because I forget the last time I checked them. The moment you get a purple, that means to stop then and there and wait another 2-4 weeks I would guess.

yeah, pretty much. I took 4 or 5 characters through the chests and towards the end got something like 9 purple items and a diamond. I waited a couple of days and tried again and got gold items once again. Space it out when you open them and you'll have better luck.

I've yet to get a purple out of them, and I've opened about 50+ in total (I have 10 chars through NF). All of them have been gold. I'm also getting a lot of rubies and diamonds out of them too. Which reminds me, my mesmer, ritualist and ranger should be coming up on their second chance to open the treasures.
