What/where to farm after HM update

Often if you shepherd enemies into a small enclosed space or a chokepoint (like at the corner of stairs), they won't flee, or at most, won't flee nearly as much as they would out in the open.

For mountain trolls, after entering the cave, there's a small room to the east (in the main troll room, not in the back where the bosses are). I would lure trolls in there when the nerf was active in normal mode.

The easiest way is to continually wand/attack one enemy until it dies, you can however find a small corner or something such as a rock the enemies will catch on and body block them in that area.

Dead Sword Farming in Hard Mode = awesome drops. You get a dead sword every 2 runs at least. I get about 2 golds per run consistently, even if they aren't dead swords.

What are you using to do the dead sword farm?

And this was in one run after many previous attempts pre hard mode.

I've just tried farming some of Old Ascalon (Namely the Hulking Stone Elementals) with a 55 necro. Killed most of the in the area (around 40) and the two bosses and after 5 or so runs I've found 4 golds and a FoW passage scroll. I'll probably move to bigger places though

Also I've discovered that drying with a 4% morale bonus will drop you to 2 hp. At 2 hp and Prot spirit, you take no damage but your character will be moaning in pain at every single hit

Thats gotta be the dead sword farm, its still easy in hard mode (as the spirits are still only lvl 20). Plus with the anti-farm code gone you can just keep rezoning and killing them over and over. Its usually good for one gold per zone, but three is definatly a possibility. If you want my opinion, he rezoned a few times before he took that shot (just a guess though)

You're wrong. The antifarm code is removed from normal mode not from hard mode.

with the dead sword farming, after you kill that first group, two groups run in. Once you kill one of those groups, another runs in for a total of five groups of slave spirits each zone.
